Review: HFC .357 NBB Revolver

I really happen to like revolvers. I don't know why they just look better than most auto handguns. This is no exception. It looks awesome. When I got these I opened one of them up to keep and mess around with. It comes with 6 brass shells, a speed loader, a small bag of bbs, the instruction manual (which is in english, really bad english but you can under stand it), and some really ugly gray plastic thing in the cylinder.
I immediatly opened the box and examined the gun carefully. I then opened the cylinder and was shocked because there was this really ugly gray plastic thing in there. The gray plastic thing holds 24 bbs total, thats what the speed loader is for. Even with 4 bbs per "shell" in the gray thing it will only fire one bb at a time. Think of the gray thing as 6 mini magazine which hold 4 bbs per section. Which is good because it has as much capacity as a normal NBB/GBB. With the 24 round gray thing you have to fire it without pulling back the hammer. Otherwise it will fire out 2 bbs the next time you fire it. If you just put the gray thing in the cylinder and pull the trigger its fine.
You have 2 options for this gun:
1-You can use the ugly gray plastic thing which holds 4 bbs per "shell".
or 2-You can use the super cool brass shells. They only hold one bb at a time but its more realistic that way and it looks a lot better.
After I removed the ugly gray plastic thing I put 6 bbs in the 6 brass shells and put them in the gun. The gun looks cool with the shells in it. You can even spin the chamber and slam it in place!
It is extremely realistic. The grips look good, to me anyway and they are comfortable too. The gun is a nice flat black. It looks nothing like plastic, except for the grip. The grip might look a little bit like plastic. The entire outer barrel/front sight assembly is metal. The other metal parts are the hammer, trigger, and safety lever.
It is somewhat heavy. It isn't very balanced. Its a little front heavy because the entire front outer barrel assembly is metal. Not the cheap metal, this is high grade stuff here.
The rear sight is fully adjustable, it took a while to get this thing sighted in right. Its pretty accurate but not the greatest ever. The trigger pull isn't as heavy as other NBBs but it is not as light as a GBB. You can pull back the hammer and the pull lightens up a lot, but only do this if you are using the super cool brass shells.
After I got done looking at this beautiful gun I went looking for my can of gas . I filled it up. It fills up really easy with no leaking at all. HFC has done a good job with their gas guns.
After I filled it up and loaded it with the super cool brass shells I went outside to do my testing. I set another coke can up only 30 feet away this time. I used some good .12g bbs for the testing. It took a few shots to hit the can but it wasn't too hard. I then realized the rear sight was totally adjustable for windage and elevation. I tried to get it dialed in as best I could. It was close. I could now hit the can easily enough. I then set it up 50 feet away. It took 4 shots to get it but it would still be easy to hit a person sized target from 60 feet away. I do not know if this gun has hop up, if it doesn't then it might be able to use it. It might have a very slight hop up on it, I suspect that it does have a slight hop up on it but I cant be sure. It has enough range to have hop up but I cant tell. This gun is extremely gas efficient. You can get tons of shots out of one charge of gas.
I don't think airsoft revolvers are meant for skirmishes, I don't think thats what they were made for. They don't make as much power as a normal gas gun does, but power isn't lacking. It has a tad bit more power than a good spring pistol. This gun does still have enough range to be skirmishable. I plan on using this in a skirmish too.
It is very quiet. It makes less noise than a spring pistol! The quietness of this gun could be very good depending on what you are using it for. When I do skirmish with it, I'm going to use the brass shells first that way I wont have to find and put in 6 different shells when I need to reload. When the shells run out I will pull out the gray plastic thing.
It functions really well. Sometimes it will skip a bb and shoot out 2 bbs the next time, this only happens when or if you try to fire it too fast. If you try to empty it as fast as you can it will jam. Try to shoot 1 to 2 rounds per second and it will be fine.
This gun is really durable. Its not going to break on you unless you try to break it. A lot of it is metal so it is plenty strong. It is sturdy enough, nothing rattles or comes loose.
If you did bring this to a skirmish you would be the only one. I have never seen a revolver being used in an airsoft battle. I think it would be cool to use one though . Revolvers are rare in the world of airsoft. Sure lots of them are out there but how many people do you know who have or use them? I like revolvers, they are cool. This one is awesome for the price. Under $50 and you get a fully functional revolver that is heavy, accurate enough, has good range, and has good power for a revolver. It makes a nice piece to look at too. I like to look at it, it looks so cool . There is a chrome HFC .357 revolver that looks really good . Thats what I'm getting next to go along with this awesome revolver. So far I've had minimal problems with it. It has been great so far. I highly doubt there will be any major problems with it. It is a good buy considering the KWC Revolver is about $100. You can get one of these for less than half what a KWC costs and Ill bet the HFC is just as good if not better. I like my revolver. If there are any problems Ill update when or if they happen. Anyone looking for a cheap but very realistic gas gun should check one of these out.
