Wow, I haven't been on here much lately, but what a thing to come back to. Fantastic job on that, sir! An excellent piece of work there.

I'm liking that Rk 95 Tp...nice to see something rather obscure

Best investment I have made in airsoft?
2 kapowwe 'bone-yard' mystery boxes
I got 8 working AEG's (2 minus magazines, 1 minus charger/battery) plus a functional (but with several parts missing/damaged) KSC/KWA Glock - all for $200

Havent looked at this thread in a while, and all it does is remind me that I am out of spraypaint. Got a neat (I think) idea though when I finally decide to get some.
Btw, nice job on the Multicam sniper rifle and M16, Lokillodechile.

Anyone else notice that the flash hider on the 2nd M14 actually looks more like the Cali-legal muzzlebreak, rather than a proper M14 flash hider?

AEG Discussion II / Re: Kart "MCR .308" @ Gunner
« on: September 08, 2009, 01:17:28 AM »
Not that I make a habit of commenting on the way a gun looks, but that is the most awful looking M14-derived weapon I have ever seen. On another note though, I am curious to see if they're going to release a full length barrel version like they did with the EBR.
@ Shift:
From personal experience (albeit in an older M14 made by Kart) the internals are aweful. The stock motor especially, is simply horse poo.

I have done this mod (albeit in much cruder form) to my old Super 9. Used only 3 parts too, I believe (bolt, nut, rubber sleeve around stock hop unit). It's only held in by the tension of the hopup rubber against the bolt end, but it works well for what it is. I can try to get pics to post if it is so desired.

Retail Stores / Re: Kapowwe's 'Refurbished' AEG's
« on: July 18, 2009, 12:18:10 PM »
Well, the refurb Tommies and MP 40's do in fact have a warranty, as does the 3-gun deal, but I don't see that on the AKM.  Also, I feel kind of stupid throwing this in now, but I just remembered one of my friends who I havent really taked to in a while bought one of the refurb MP 40's a while back, the first didn't work, and he got a new one. I remember shooting it, and the only thing I remember being wrong with it was the front sight was loose.

Well, I guess there's one 'Yea'
based on your sig, I'm guessing it was an MP 40, right?
Anyone else?

Retail Stores / Kapowwe's 'Refurbished' AEG's
« on: July 18, 2009, 02:22:39 AM »
I was looking at Kapowwe's site earlier, and I decided to see if there was anything interesting in their boneyard, as I haven't checked in a while. And then I noticed they now have 'refurbished' CYMA AKM's. Now, I know they had the refurb Tommies and MP 40's for a while , so I wanted to know if anyone has bought the refurb guns from Kapowwe, and if they are worth getting. if anyone has tried one of the AKM's in particular, I would be interested in hearing about it, but I figure their other refurb guns probably are about the same, so any info on those are welcome, too. Thanks

Problem Solving / Replacing part on motor - Problem solved
« on: April 29, 2009, 08:29:47 PM »
I wanted to know how to remove the pieces on the bottom of the motor that have the tabs which the external wires connect to. One of the tabs on mine broke, although the motor still works if I hold the wire to the plate, for obvious reasons, this is not practical. So far, i have removed the hex screw, and the spring around the post, but I cannot get the post off, which means I cant remove the connector tb plate. So, how exactly can I get that post out so i can replace the part?
P.S.
Please do not say "go buy a new motor" or something to that effect. I'm not made of money.

Thanks in advance

Edit:
Also, as another idea, is there a simple way to replace the axle shaft on one of my spare long motors with the axle shaft from a short one?
Again, Thanks

looks like some useful stuff here. I'm gonna have to try that red goggle lens thing for the next night op I do

Thats some nicely done camo patterns there, Ninja.  I especially like your M4 CASV one, and the pattern on your sniper rifle looks highly effective as well. great work!
The last one really looks like Souske's old paintjobs :P
my thoughts exactly

Gun Modifications/Parts/Accessories / Re: master key mount
« on: January 18, 2009, 12:31:02 PM »
Didn't Souske make a mount of an MP5 claw mount , 2 of the side plate things for an M16A4 handle/sight, and screws, and he mounted it right to the lower rail on one of his M4's?
Edit:
Found one, not the one I was thinking of, but its an easy to do with a UTG/DE M87/M47 shotty

Spring Discussion / Re: Where can I find replacement bolts for a Super 9?
« on: December 22, 2008, 03:36:59 PM »
two years isn't too bad considering the price of the rifle.
especially since I got it for nothing, and thats just the last time i replaced the bolt, i've probably had the gun for 3-3.5 years (not counting how long the guy who gave it to me had it for)
I think DJ Mike Oz still has some aluminum spring guides, pistons, and bolt ends we had made a couple years back (before the ACM bolt craze hit) if you want to try and rebuild it.

PM him for details.
I don't really need it rebuilt, just need a new spring for it, not even an entire bolt

well, the bolt didn't break, its just wearing out, i've probably been using the same bolt for 2 years now.  I'm just trying to make sure i can find one for as cheap as possible, thats all.  Thanks for the input though.

Spring Discussion / Where can I find replacement bolts for a Super 9?
« on: December 20, 2008, 02:46:25 AM »
Does anybody know of a place (other than speedytoys, and shorty) that sells spare Super 9 bolts?  Shorty is out of stock last I checked, and I would like to find something cheaper than speedytoys ($16.99) or airsoftarms ($22.99 & out of stock) if possible. Please no "the super 9 is crap" or related comments, just interested in finding replacement bolts. Thanks

Ok, thanks, I was doing some more looking and found a published review on it, and it said it is compatible, which had me confused, but ok. I'll take your word for it.

AEG Discussion II / Well R8/Pulse R72 magazine compatability with Marui G3?
« on: December 03, 2008, 12:52:36 AM »
My friend recently picked up a Well R8 or an R72 (not sure which as I havent seen it yet, but it doesn't really matter anyway), and I am wondering about magazine compatability.  Now I read the good 'ole Low Cost AEG Buyers Guide, and it said it is compatible with modification.  Does anyone know what those modifications are - is it like the feed tube issue with the R6/7's or is it something else? Also, and I'm really going out with a limb on this one, has anyone converted it to use Marui-compat AK magazines? Thanks

AEG Discussion II / Re: Kalash SLR106UR at RSOV
« on: November 26, 2008, 07:15:56 PM »
RIS is only popular with NATO, not Russian and would therefore be inaccurate for a Russian weapon.
most of the AK 10X series, except the AK 105, is meant for export, so in order to get sales, the Russian arsenals would probably make RIS kits available to customers upon request
