Complaint Department / Airsoft field / event post
« on: August 19, 2010, 07:27:29 PM »
 http://www.airsoftretreat.com/forums/index.php?topic=95209.new#new

I have looked over the web site linked with this posting and noticed a few things that not sound like any this forum wants to be associated with.  The people running this field are teenagers, they don't own the property or have lease to use it.  They state on the web site, they are not a business but they are charging a fee to play. They don't have insurance for the property, and I'm pretty sure that the land owners are not aware of the events that are about to take place there.  A quote from the website (pictures page) " Camp Creek Woodlands is not a business, only a playing field. The area has mixed ownership, Georgia Power, Legendary Homes, private home owners, and along with some of the areas being unclaimed land and is open to the public."  Unclaimed land??  We are talking about 10 miles outside Atlanta.

I am asking you to close this topic.

 Thanks,

Do you own any of the land or have permission to run an event on it?  I looked at the web site and noticed you said your not a business but your changing a fee to play?

Gun Modifications/Parts/Accessories / Re: VFC SCAR-L Sling choice?
« on: October 26, 2009, 07:59:53 PM »
I use a VFC scar.  I use a one point bungie sling.  I also use a 1 inch keyring in the top mount.  But, I use para cord on the key ring. Cut a length of paracord a longer than you need.  Pull the cords out of the cover and melt the ends just enough to keep it from fraying.  Feed the cord on the ring and keep pushing it on until both sides of the ring are covered.  When the cord is on melt the two ends together.  One thing, you have to do all this when the ring is still on the gun.

looks like you would have to drill a hole to get to the stock tube.  I wish it was a crane stock type from the factory.

I don't a picture for you, but I have a similar setup.  All my items came from local Army / Navy stores.  Search for "tears of the sun".  This is the gear I modeled mine after.

I don't go to play as much now, due to the gas prices.  90 miles, one way, to the field is a little rough.

I did a translation on babel fish from the web site.  Some of it just doesn't translation right, but it's entertaining!!

"Pre-purchase price ~AGM MG42 pure metal electrically operated machine gun Grasps the storehouse to love the consistent style, we talk clearly the first words Because the People's Republic of China production, the manufacture, have the puttyblower are not legitimate, About the date of availability is perhaps, this buys the big X electric saucepan to be such easy not likely! The sound of gunfire noise which MG42 other characteristic is it fire when sends out, in sounds generally “咑 ......” or “pa ......” in the sound of gunfire, MG42 has an alone tree standard “the tearing cloth” sound of gunfire.   Sounds like it's going to be a limited edition / quantity and they are taking pre-orders now.

Star was purchasing their guns from a factory, that cut "Star" out and now sells them under Ares. They just got rid of the middle man.

It looks like the page has been removed.  My guess would be that it was canceled.  It also appears that all mention of the outdoor field is gone.   They are pushing a indoor airsoft CQB and paintball set up.

Coyote Brown is more universe.  It goes with both Marpat's, Multicam, Woodland and any desert BDU's.

I have only purchased the real stuff.  I haven't found any "fake" stuff that has the right color.  The "fake" stuff, like pants and shirts, fade out quickly.
