Gas Discussion / We M14 Hop-up Bucking and barrel Comparability?

My We M14 is currently on its way. I sort of wanted to get it upgraded as soon as it arrived. And accuracy is usually a good place to start so I'm asking if the hop-up bucking is compatible with TM pistols/vsr-10. Also I am considering machining a Prometheus 420mm barrel to replace the stock one. Would that be a better choice than buying a RA Tech barrel?

From what Ive seen G&G motors are weak. Get yourself a new motor. As for the gears thats up to you, a M150 spring will be pushing upper 400's. My only point is for $20 you can get a good gearset that should last you a while.

No they are not. G&G motors aren't the best. Get yourself a SHS motor as well as gears. Should cost you less than $50.

Thank you, I was doing a write-up, including how to weld and machine the parts required but unfortunately all the pictures got wiped while I was on vacation. Maybe I'll build another one when I have more time and document that one.

When I get the barrel painted, as well as buy a lower rail I'll post up some better pictures.

From what I know this guy has been identified as a scammer, Ive been in contact with him before, from what I've seen he fits the description.

He wont show pictures with his name in them, and from my experience if you ask questions he wont know a lot of the answers, though he claims to be 26 years old. He has had thousands of dollars worth of airsoft rifles on this site over the past few weeks.

I just dont want anyone else getting scammed.

Thank you for the build. I was considering buying a new aluminum gearbox shell http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/aabb-8mm-enhanced-bearing-gearbox-ver-2.html   Is that a good investment or will it cause problems?

And for wiring would anyone know anything about these kits:

Okay so full rack it is. Do you happen to know the bushing size? It looks to me that they are metal so I wouldn't think I'd need to replace them.

And will pairing a AMP high torque with a SHS 13:1 be effective? Or are high torque the way to go.

I've done some research but still can't understand how high torque and high speed motors work in conjunction with high torque and high speed gears.

Thank you, I'm guessing that has something to do with the piston not resetting before the sector engages it?

So Im grabbing some modify bushings, some shims, SHS gears (Still sort of wondering what will give me the best trigger response, not ROF).

When it comes to full metal rack gears, would it be better to just go one metal tooth and polycarb for the rest, just in case there is a failure you don't damage your gears along with the piston?
