I know there have bee topics on this, but i want to know if anyone has ordered from them and how fast the package got you you. any info would be a great help.
Where can I find some jute/burlap and the netting? I went to my local Wal-mart hoping they'd have some, but lo and behold they didn't have jack. Also went to Ramsey Outdoors but they didn't have anything either. I really want to purchase something locally, but I can purchase something online as last resort.
It hasn't really been an 'interesting' discussion in my viewpoint. I seriously doubt airsoft game/Op organizers will design games/Ops that will put "water hazards" as a major factor in game play. The drawback to this is it would put a demand on airsofters to 'waterproof' their weapons, and this is something that the majority of airsofters will more than likely pass on because of the risk, the hassle & potential cost.well for me theres really no big organized airsoft fields close so they guys i play with try to mix it and do different stuff than just play, i.e. more "interesting" scenarios. so we were just looking for more interesting stuff to do and since its so hot here, water would be pretty cool and interesting to change things up. but other than that i agree with you 100%. its not something that i would wanna try at a field.
Sure in smaller private games it would be an 'interesting' challenge, but even with that, I personally would pass on a game that put me in a position where I would have to deal with that scenario.
Apparently, the best way to do something for a lot of these posters it to make it as inefficient and expensive as possible T.Thah im not gonna risk my guns by throwing them in the water, not even thinking about it. i was just wondering and thought it would make for an interesting discussion.
whoa, it doesn't take a knowledgeable person to figure this out. what size of battery are you using? whatevs, just seal it in a plastic bag, and make sure to include any wires going from the batt. into your gun. now, it's gonna get hard to do with different types of guns. so, are you suggesting that you and your friends swim around in a pool and shoot each other, or include a water "hazard" in your next game? because if #2, just bring some garbage/dry-cleaning bags and remember to cover'em up(your guns) before you go into the water, then rip the bag off when you come out. someone mentioned that GBBs can function fine, why not just use those? you also have to think about making sure your mags don't get water in them, that might lead to some problems. IMO, it's too impractical to try this. but go ahead.there was a hint sarcasm when i said "knowledgeable"
They all can, read more. You'll figure out quickly your question has been answered numerous times. VFC guns are no special exception. I own three and I love them, but it isn't anything some shi*ty Echo 1 can't do.as I said," as we saw in the vid of the vfc 416, that one can... " where in that sentence does it say "VFCs are the onle guns on earth that can do that"? look, since are so knowledgeable, do you have a fix or solution that would not damage the battery if it went under water? that would be helpful.
ha i didnt mean like shoot while under water, but shoot just after coming out of the water and not have to dry or clean itdid you read my post? let me be clear:
very interesting vid i hope one day i can do that with an airsoft gun(H&K not Colt). that would open up so many new possibilities for the sport
SOME real guns are meant to keep water out. Others, unfortunately, explode. Water in the barrel of a real gun is dangerous. In an airsoft gun, it won't cause your gun to explode, but it can certainly ruin your day.
I'm still waiting to get a chance to go over to my friends to confirm some of the coloring there (I'm taking as many precautions as possible to get the PERFECT color). But while I'm waiting I just wanted to verify if this was enough burlap? (I cut them about 8-9 inches long, piled them each time I got around to destringing, and wrapped rubber bands around them, so they may seem squished, as I had to try to compact them for the rubber bands.... After putting them on the ghillie they will fray and bush out a lot) It would suck to do all this just to run out of burlap halfway through my ghillie.
Smog camo and DPM are very similar, but are not the same. Smog is made by Splav. Now that I addressed what was said about the Russian tankers earlier, to answer the questions. Anyways, I think that camo is DPM. The IRA would have access to DPM through them fighting the British all the time. As for weaponry, this is where doing a freedom fighter /revolutionary (avoiding the 'T' word) loadout becomes easy because of the wide variety of weaponry used.(avoiding the "T" word), very nice touch there snowman. ha but I agree, DPM is prolly the way to go with the BDUs.
That was me, I did it to the WE Wilson:thank you! it was you i was talking about. hah
Actually it does, it's called bad taste. It's a bit like me wanting to do an Abu Sayyaf/MILF loadout and push the "Oppressed Muslim Pinoy minority who just want to be left alone" angle.yeahh thats why i said pm me if you fell differently he was talking about how because they were a terrorist organization that their gear is random and is not uniform and they use what they can get.
When you do a loadout of a military/paramilitary organisation, it marks a certain degree of idolisation and respect that you have to said organisation. That, and you think quite highly of their equipment and gear.
Regardless of what you think of their original intent, what is not up for debate is that they engaged in illicit activities and terrorists activities and contributed to much death and destruction. The IRA is a terrorist organisation, full stop. And this sort of discussion should not be sanctioned in an airsoft forum.
