Problem Solving / Re: VFC 416 electrical issue.
« on: March 27, 2012, 04:44:47 PM »
*UPDATE*

The problem was the red wire to the motor was not connected. However i can't seem to get it to stay. Any tips or suggestions on keeping it in place? I was thinking of using electrical tape to keep in in place, but thought to ask the forums first.

Problem Solving / VFC 416 electrical issue.
« on: March 26, 2012, 11:02:17 PM »
Hello asr, my buddy recently gave me his vfc 416 saying that if i fix it i can have it. This gun is several years old but completely stock internally. I am trying to avoid taking it in to the local store for repair, so i thought i would ask for advice. My friend said something is wrong with the wiring. I thought to check the fuse, but i can't seem to find it even after removing the buffer tube. Any tips on checking the wiring? All wires seemed to be in tact. I cannot find a decent take down guide for this gun either. When plugging in the battery no noise is made and the battery is charged. The battery is a King Arms 11.1V 1100mAh battery. Any advice would be appreciated.

Basic Training <--- YOUR FIRST POSTS HERE / coming back to the action
« on: March 02, 2012, 07:44:24 PM »
Hello airsoft retreat. Its literally been years since i lasted posted here. I quit airsoft about 3 years ago and the itch to come back is taking over. However, i sold all my gear and have to start over. I have a few questions that maybe some of you could help me answer.

As far as a new gun, i want a decent AEG. I am looking at CA or VFC. Any new guns these brands have put out that are really good in the past  few years? My price range is $400-$500. Ive always liked the look of the VFC SCAR, but a nice CA m4 was always a good choice as well.

Any websites that sell decent vests for cheap? I still have my multicam thankfully, as well as my TM glock  ;D. Any imput i would greatly appreciate.

AEG Discussion II / Re: Anything on the Echo 1 Task Force Black MP5's?
« on: March 29, 2009, 02:39:53 PM »
My friend recently got an Echo 1 MP5. It suprised me how well the gun preformed out of the box. It was actually shooting around the same as my Classic Army M4.

Sad, i know..

This gas non blowback is the quietest gun i have encountered:

way more quiet than any spring pistol out there..

lol, i stand corrected..

my bad. i have never owned a G&G weapon or a VFC weapon, i just made an assumption that vfc was the better choice..

Tactics / Re: What are some of your playing styles?
« on: August 30, 2008, 02:20:21 PM »
Usually just supress and flank tactics.

However, i have gone just pistol before. Its pretty fun to crawl around.

SPLINTER CELL STATUS!!.. Anyway, everyone has their way of playing. Try different styles, and use the one that is most fun to you..

Be constantly aware of where your teammates are, where they are recieving incoming fire, and then giving them cover fire in those trouble spots.

Problem Solving / Tokyo Marui G17 Problem.
« on: August 03, 2008, 07:48:10 PM »
Last game my G17 started to act up. It would shoot only once, with plenty of gas in the mag. It would start to fire again if i pointed it at the ground. One guy out at the feild said it was the spring, because when you point the gun down, it realeases some tension on the spring.

So i guess i need a new spring. But im not sure. Where can i get a new one? Or if you think its some other problem, any advice is appreciated.

AEG Discussion II / Re: G36 - Which battery should I get?
« on: August 03, 2008, 07:43:17 PM »
I did get a 9.6 1500 mah battery in my CA handguard. http://onlybatterypacks.com/showitem.asp?ItemID=11069.26

If you get the larger handguard you could fit a 8.4 3600 mah battery.

The 3600 mah battery would be the best choice. thats what i would reccomend. It would give you a boost of ROF.

I have seen a P90 shoot around 400FPS. Totally custom job. It was really cool, kinda looked like something out of splinter cell..

But i dont know the specific upgrades..

17
Haha, these two guns are very diferent from one another. You have M14, which has a very traditional look of a sniper rifle or DMR.

And then the AUG, a gun with space age looking, bullpup design.  I would recomend the JG AUG personally..

Problem Solving / Re: CA G36k flash hider removal help
« on: June 30, 2008, 08:54:52 PM »
When i was removing the flash hider on my AUG, the only thing that worked for me was using a wrench and twisting..

but its quite possible that it is different with a CA G36..

Skirmish Reports / Re: Heroic Charge!
« on: June 30, 2008, 08:33:55 PM »
My heroic charge experience ended in disaster. We thought we had enough guys and fire power to just blaze across an open field at an unknown number of enemies hiding in a well fortified trench. We got wasted by about four guys...

I also use a Tokyo Marui G17. All i use in it is propane, works great. Has given me better preformance than some full metal slide pistols with red gas.

Misc. Weapons / Re: Your Opinion: Knives in Airsoft
« on: June 28, 2008, 05:38:18 PM »
If i got close enough to use a fake knife, i wouldnt use it lol. I would already have my pistol out and either shoot him, or surrender the guy with that.

22
I would suggest a 4200 battery, which can help ROF. However, i dont think you can put that in an AUG. You could get an external battery, but thats just my opinion.

23
Its not worth putting that much money into a gun like the TM MP7. You would be alot better off buying guns previously mentioned such as the P90 or even the MP5K.

General Airsoft Discussion / Re: Strangest "bunker" at your field?
« on: June 28, 2008, 02:35:55 PM »
Our "sniper tower" is probably the most funky lookin thing on our field. It stands on a corner of a four walled structure we call the house. Its pretty much a bad version of a tree house. It sticks out like a sore thumb, and ended up not being very effective..

Misc. Weapons / Re: Airsoft Innovations Tornado Grenade Finally OUT!

I first saw these videos about two weeks ago. This thing looks amazing, and like no other airsoft grenade i have ever seen.

Everyone on my team is going to pitch in for one of these babies..
