I can not justify the cost of a serpa lvl 3 to hold my KWA M9 Ns2 Railed.  I have tried a condor molle holster mounted to my plate carrier over the hip, but the holster wiggles too much and becomes unclipped even when walking.  What do M9 users here use.

For mag pouches, what fit M9 mags?  I have tried condor and there is no way with out mags being easily slipped out while running.

Problem Solving / KJW 24 7 C02, metal slide fell off
« on: November 03, 2011, 03:05:55 AM »
The slide fell off, forwards, it still works, but the slide wont stay put, how do I secure it?  It fell off during a night game, I found the slide but not the (is it called a bolt cover? the place where the shell would fly out if it was real..).

-edit- should I just epoxy it?

General Airsoft Discussion / Best Mp5 Drum Mag?
« on: April 29, 2011, 03:40:11 PM »
I know...  Mp5s with a drum is silly...  But most of the fields near me are spray and pray fests.  I have been running with my heavy as hell M4 G4A3 DMR and want to use my much lighter ICS Mp5SD, but all I have is mid caps, Id like to level the playing field and get a drum mag for it.

Any suggestions on what brand makes the best drum for a ICS MP5?

Gun Modifications/Parts/Accessories / Push Pin Mod for ICS MP5 SD
« on: April 01, 2011, 10:21:40 PM »
Is there any way to convert a ICS MP5 to use push pins like on a G&G MP5?  Rather than the screw type it currently has.

The body pins common to other airsoft MP5s have been replaced with more authentic push pins that allow for realistic field stripping.

My G&G G4A3 DMR has the push pins and it makes working on the gun much easier, it would be nice on this gun.

Is the lower receiver ever full metal?

Thanks for the link.

Just wondering, are ICS MP5s considered to be any good?  So far I like it, but I have only shot it in my small backyard, about 20 feet max.

The only markings on it is ICS on the buttstock, and UI270051 on the upper receiver near the mag well.

Are the gear boxes on a gun like this any good?  It has a good ROF right now, haven't chrono-ed it.  Just wondering if its worth doing any upgrades, or if I should just leave the gun as it is.

The main reason I ask, is that the selector switch is broken, the square tab broke off, can anyone give me a link for a replacement selector?  When I checked evike and places like that all I found was the bullet style, not SEF...

Send it to me, and after a four year trial run, I can tell you what version it is.

You have picked your avatar aptly for this comment  ;D

Thanks.

Okay so if I open the gun up, what is going to tell me?

Oh and I noticed you are into ICS, any idea what selector switch I am going to need to replace the one on this gun?  The square tab on the switch broke off, so I need a new.

Ummm its a ICS MP5 SD5...  Not sure what else I can say, are there any identifying marks to tell what version from ICS it is?  I hear they have had at least 3 generations.  It a metal upper receiver with plastic lower.  The selector is S, E, F, not the other bullet style.

Here is a pic of it from the seller:
