The problem is that the magazine isn't sitting high enough into the mag well and won't seal to the blow-back chamber properly. If I press the magazine up into the frame (which causes it to make full contact with the blow-back chamber) it functions flawlessly. Also, when I push up on the magazine I can see the slide moving up on the upper frame, which as I said before leads me to believe that the slide has excessive play in it and will need to be replaced.

I'm not sure how I would go about doing that. I was considering trying to fit a shim in the frame under the catch, but it's pretty tight in there. I'm almost positive it's the slide though, just due to the sheer amount of rounds I've put through this thing. Anyone know where to find a replacement slide and/or frame??

I have a heavily modified/heavily used KWA G18C that I have had for a couple years now. It has well over 30k rounds through it. The problem I have been having lately is that it will not properly cycle the slide if I don't push the magazine up into the mag well. I am starting to lean towards the slide being the culprit just due to that age and usage of the gun, and if I gently push down on the slide there is substantially less play (up and down).  If anyone has any tips or tricks that may help it would be greatly appreciated. Also, I'm not sure if it makes any difference, but I have a Guarder steel magazine catch installed, so I'm not sure if that could be contributing to my problem too.

Awesome. Thanks for all the help guys. I could always just swap the pins around in the connector it's self lol. I wasn't even thinking about it!! The pins are made to removeable for just that reason.

Great. Thanks for the link. My next question is: will I need to get an Airsoft specific charger or can I use an r/c charger? I want to get a programmable charger like I had for an electric r/c truck I had that will allow me to monitor charge rate, elapsed time, mAH charged, ect. But I don't want to waste my $ on something that isn't even compatible with Airsoft batteries.
This was the charger I was looking at: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXTCK0&P=ML
It doesn't have a picture of the charging leads which would be my main concern, but this is an excellent charger and it even has  D/C  alligator clips if the field doesn't have an outlet.

I am looking for a battery for my VFC SCAR and I was looking on my favorite site for my R/C's and found that they now stock airsoft batteries. I was looking @ this one: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0095P?FVSEARCH=sa1958&search=Go and noticed there was a note that reads: "IMPORTANT-Venom Tactic Power Airsoft batteries are wired with REVERSED POLARITY from the radio control industry standard. Always double check polarity of the airsoft gun."
This is strange because I have never heard of this anywhere else before. Can anyone tell me if there is any truth to this because I need to get a battery ASAP and this is the least expensive one I could find.

Springer: Cheapo G36 I got from a gun show.
AEG: TM G3/SG1 (amazing gun!) But the gearbox stripped out while a friend was using it, and sold it.
GBB: KWA G18C, now discontinued...but this hast to be my favorite gun. You just can't beat emptying the entire mag in one burst!!! I still have it, but I shot it so much it doesn't work anymore lolol.
Current AEG: VFC SCAR-H (!!!!!) Which is stock...for now.

Hello all. I just purchased a VFC SCAR-H and I was wondering if there were any other magazines other than the VFC/Echo1 mid-or hicaps that will work with my SCAR-H. I was looking on www.evike.com and the SR-25 mags look very similar to the SCAR-H mags. I am only asking because the VFC mags are rather expensive ($40!!!) for just one and I would like to have two or three mid-caps for mil-sim games. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am new to VFC AEGs. Thanks.
P.S. I was wondering about the quality/durability of the VFC internals, I have read mixed reviews and I haven't found a conclusive answer yet.
