My Western arms infinity SV 5' came without a manual, so could anyone direct me to where the hop up adjustment actually is? I know its somewhere under the chamber, but I'm just not seeing any hex screw.

So like the title says, Does leaving your hop-up on for extended periods of time weaken it?

I personally have never left my hop-up on for too long, been too afraid it will damage it.

General Airsoft Discussion / Seperating bbs from sand?

Lately with all the snow around here, we've been playing in my barn.  The floor is covered with fairly fine grain sand (terrible for our guns, but we live).   After a few times playing in there the bbs are getting pretty numerous.  My parents want me to find a way to ethier clean them up, or play somewhere else.  The best idea I've had is to go to home depot and buy some kind of sifter that I can drag along the ground to sift through the sand and bbs.  I'm wondering if anyone has any better ideas.

AEG Discussion / Whats this part from my CAG36K Do?

I received my Classic Army G36k a few days ago, and it came with a part unattached.  Its the smaller part in these pictures from evike.

Gas Discussion / Anyone own a Marushin M1 Carbine?

I've been searching around, and I've found very little information on the Marushin M1 Carbine.  I've read the reviews on arnies, but those are the only ones I could find.  I've got a few questions, it'd be great if you could answer any of them.

1.  Is this rifle discontinued?  It seems like no one has it in stock.

2.  Do the o-rings leak or not?  I've read conflicting information on this.

3.  Will it run Green Gas?  I've read some that say it can, others that say it cannot.

4.  How is the reliablity?  I dont want to buy anything that will break down quickly.

5.  Is Marushin going to relese an M2 Carbine?  I've read here on ASR there were rumors, but I havent seen any info since.

Complaint Department / Problem with CA G36k review?

Gas Discussion / Difference between KSC Glock 19 japan version and Taiwann version

Whats the difference between the two?  The Japan version is up to $50 more than the Taiwan version.  Does the Japan version have a metal slide and the Taiwan version doesnt?

AEG Discussion II / How much stress can the UTG spetz gearbox take?

I'm looking into upgrading my now broken spetz, and just making it shoot as hard as it can.  Does anyone know whats the biggest spring I could put into it without the gearbox cracking?

Problem Solving / UTG Spetz Hop-up problem

I was trying to take out my barrel today, and when i took out the hop-up unit the rubber piece that actually comes into contact with the bb ( I apologize for my lack of technical terms) fell out of the tube.  This is supposed to be upside down in the gun, and does not stay where its supposed to.  I dont think I lost any pieces tho it is a possibility.  Does anyone know how to secure the rubber piece to the plastic thats supposed to hold it?  I thought of using duck tape but thought it was a better idea to ask the experts first, plus I couldnt find any.  Any help at all is really really appreciated.

AEG Discussion II / G36 too long for woodland?

I am thinking of getting a STAR G36.  I know its about 1000mm long, or a little over 3 feet.  None of my friends have guns close to this length so I cant be sure I'll be able to weild it through trees.  I was also considering the G36k but I would really like the extra accuracy the longer barrel gives.  Would this gun be too long for moving quickly through woodland?  I know the stock folds so its around 800mm, and I was hoping this would allow me to move in thick brush.  Anyone have experience with the STAR G36 or the CA G36E (as I think they are the same length).

Problem Solving / Should I return my brand new AEG?

Thursday I got my new UTG Spetz.  The battery life seemed really small maybe only 600 shots with a 3300mah battery.  I thought it was the weather because its been extremely hot lately, around 95 degrees.  but I just charged my 3300mah battery again, and took it out to shoot.  It shot about 6 shots then stopped shooting.  The next few shots made the motor move but nothing came out. It felt like it didnt spin the gears or something. I pushed the cleaning rod in the barrel and there is a bb stuck against the nozzle (at least i think its the air nozzle).  I cant get it out it wont fall out the barrel.  Im fairly sure its the motor, or maybe a wire connecting the battery and the motor.  My best ideas of what is wrong are these. 1. the motor is broken. 2. there is a problem with the wiring. 3. my battery is a lemon.  4. something wrong with my gears.  this is my first AEG and have never opened a gearbox before and dont know anyone who knows how ethier.  I was thinking of returning it but im not sure i can.  I modded my stock so i can fit the 3300mah battery in.  I think this voids my warinty(sp?) with evike.  can anyone help me?

Problem Solving / How do you fit a 8.4 3300mah battery in UTG Spetz?

Ive taken my stock off the gun.  Looking in I saw a piece of what I think is plastic connecting the 2 sides of the stock.  My stock seems to be stuck together so I dont want to rip it apart. also how can I knock out or move this connector?
