Anyone have that picture of the SCAR stock used as a prosthetic leg? It would fit so well in this topic.

Anyway, I can't really provide any input on how you would manage it other than maybe something similar to installing a buffer tube on a G36. It would look incredibly bad ass, though.

Yeah I was thinking maybe just some Krylon would do the trick, not sure though. I feel like it would still be too dark. Should I go through the trouble of stripping the current paint off first, or just paint over it?

So I recently got my gen 1 KWA up and running, but I can't stand the stock paintjob on it, it just makes it look fake. Anyone have any tips on how I can repaint it so the receiver looks a bit more.. real?

Problem Solving / KWA M4 feeding problem, really confused(Not a mag issue)

I recently acquired a new gearbox shell for my KWA gen 1 M4 and put it together with no problems. I put the gearbox into the reciever, and again no problems. After it was fully assembled I plug in the battery, pop in a mag, and test it out. The gun sounds as if it cycles completely fine, but when firing on semi auto, some shots will not feed, then when it does feed and shoot 3 bb's come out, two of which just drop out of the barrel. Full auto acts the same, but less frequently and it tends to feed almost perfectly. I'm aware its not a magazine problem because I tested it with the KWA highcap included with the gun, a CA midcap, and a King Arms Midcap, all of which had the same problem.

I took for the the top receiver, and pulled the trigger multiple times, I can see the piston cycling fine, and the nozzle moving back and forth. Something I did notice, though, is the piston tends to stop 3/4 of the way to the end of the cylinder (closer to the cylinder head), I'm not sure if that would have any effect on it, though.

Something I feel I should note, though it may be irrelevant, is that the screw that hold the top receiver in place is stripped so I am unable to take that screw out to fully take the top receiver off, however I can open it similar to that of a real AR-15.

Looks great! Some rail covers would definitely help balance out the color. Also IMO, a new (black) pistol grip would look a lot better. Maybe a MOE?

You'd be a lot better off just spending a little bit more money and buy an actual ACR/Masada than buying a gun and parts and chopping it up. Why have one that only looks "kind of like it" when you can have the actual thing for less, if not just a little bit more money? If you're able to buy all the parts over time, can't you just save the money and buy the gun? And about your parents, you're 18, you can buy your own guns with your own money.

It can look good. You just gotta use a good color. But it's not looks that matter, it's function. And it was much quicker to make this than to buy gear. My gear is cheaper. My gear is verygoo and holds up well.

Airsoft is 50% sport, 50% fashion show. People buy a lot of the gear they do mostly because it's functional, yes, but also because it looks the part. I highly doubt duct tape looks good at all, and holds up to any slight amount of stress. It wouldn't surprise me if after a few games your whole rig falls apart.

You can make quality stuff with duct tape when it is used properly.
You have not seen or used the gear, you can not know if it works or not.

The fact that it's DUCT TAPE proves it will look TERRIBLE, and won't hold up nearly as well as gear you could purchase.

You're saying you cannot buy a $200-$300 gun just because you want it, but you are willing to spend up to and possibly even more than $200 to modify a G36C? Not to mention the modified gun will be nothing like the actual one.
