calm down axel. If you're gunna insult the guy at least help him with his problem. So yes the scar will a version 2 Gear Box. (G.B.) And AIM parts are a rebrand of SHS so they are strong and fairly reliable. All you have to do is make shur that you have everything fitted proberly and that everything moves freely. This is done with a proper cleaning and shimming of the gears to one another and the motor. Also make shur that you have a good airseal from the piston heand to the cylender head so the G.B. will run to its fullest potential with these parts. Now I have only used an AIM Top Tapet Plate once and it was in my Barret 50 project im working on. Now it broke but only after say 4,000rnds and I only thing it broke because the GB shell broke in halph and pulled the Tapet plate in 1/2 with it. So your call. I was running an m150 spring doing 550+fps FYI.

Problem Solving / Re: G&G over hopping
« on: December 26, 2012, 02:23:11 AM »
First off dosnt mater what kind of bucking it is. Cold will affect your Hop-Up. Also what you can try is makeing your own nub. What I do for my guns is take a decent sized O-ring and cut a small peace out. now this will take time and alot of patienc. But put it in your gun and see how it shoots. if it still overhops take your nub out and cut the size of it down to make the diamater smaller. keep doing so till you get the right Hop that you are looking fore. If this dosn't work you are installing something wrong in the hop-up. Or you have to hard of a bucking for the waight-velocity of your gun.

Problem Solving / Re: JG M4 S-System jamming even after new gearbox

@ lord merlin if his polarity was reversed on his motor he would not have goten the 5 shots off in the first place befor the gear box lockes up. also to Czenob I recomend at least a 7.4 30c lipo to run your gun. With the mossfet you will not have to wory about your wirring. If you wanted you could also run an 11.1v 15-25c lipo instead.

OK so I was haveing this same problem on my KWA G17 after doing a cleaning. and i streched out that spring also. yea big mistake on my end. I happened to have another spring laying around to fit it. and That fixed my Problem. If you dont have one laying around it is also the same style spring that holds your firring pin in your hammer asembly. You may be able to swap them and fix your problem.

Problem Solving / Striping Pinion gears left and right.
« on: December 10, 2012, 11:36:49 PM »
OK so I have ben building on my Custom M4 for a while now. Im gunna give you a list of all my parts, maybe you can see something I cant.

Base gun is an older CA ar15-a1. For the Metal body.

Gear box: KWA: PDW Version 2 reinforced 7mm shell. with 7mm ball barrings.

Gears: SHS 13:1 high speed.

Piston: SHS pollycarb piston with metal teath.
(the sector gear has ben short stroked by 2 teeth; also pulling a m115-120 spring, its fairly old so its probably about as strong as a new m110 or so)

Motor: Matrix Turbo.

FPS: 300-315

RPS: 35-40 on a Rihno 11.1v 30-35c

Now the Problem. I have gone through at least 5 pinion gears. From old chinese motor ones. (thought I just had a bad casting from factory on the turnbo) To even an harden steal gear lasting about only 5,000rnds, each. I've wanted to try a Seigtech gear but he only makes the O-type gears. The Matrix Turbo/Magnum have D-shaped motor shafts.
I thought that maybe it was the lash (motor height) that was messing up the gears. But from the 2nd-5th gear It looks like and sounds like the lash is just purfect.
Can some one help on this? and am i the only one haveing this problem?

If you do switch to a tight bore make shur you clean it reguraly to keep up your accuracy and range.

anothing you can do is get a gasket sealer specificaly for propane ( because they dont have one specificaly for green gas) and put it around the o ring and it will seal the leak. any thing from a magor leak to a minor leak.

If your worried about not haveing enouf room on your rig because of a pistol. your going through way to much ammo. even if your running 20-30rnd mags. if you have a bunch of mags on you allready and your just blowing through your ammo maybe you should try laying off the trigger alitle bit. not dissin you or anything i used to be the same way and still am in some casses. But if you do get caught in a 1v.1 with some one in CQB and you run out of ammo i would much rather have a pistol then try to reload my AEG befor they try to come around and kill me. and you can reload your pistol alot faster then your AEG or ather primary. and you dont have to carry the side arm on your rig. get a drop leg  holster that can/will carry your side arm and a mag or to. and use that extra space on your vest/rig to carry more mags for your primary or other suplies. I personaly use my side arm alot. some times just to embarec pistol with a long range shot from it.  ;D

Depends on what im doing. For out in the woods i like my plate carrier. I carry extra ammo gas and what not. tools even. for my team. if im sniping ill switch just a belt with a dump pouch and a holster for my pistol. DP for missalneis stuff. indores. im bilding a light load from an old condore molle hydration vest. (light weight)

Im new to mossfets but not wirring. the only thing with the ASCU mossfet is that it comes with a micro switch that replaces your normal contacts and theres a sensor that has to go from the new microw switch to your mossfet. if you fallow your normal wiring harnes out the frunt of the gear box to the hand guard and there is no pinching you should be fine. The only problem other then that would be fitting it all in the hand guard. scenc it is ment for a rear wirred full stock gun. like a DMR. Hopes this helps at all.

Also. if your gun has ben siting for a long time its also good to go through and clean out your barrel, bucking and what not even if it hasn't ben used. dust has its ways of getting into your gun.
