I started out on my dad's Rickenbacker 4001, but I don't like to play it much anymore.
I've always wanted to play a 4001 and I've never had the chance. What is it that makes you not like to play it?
As far as what I play the answer is bass guitar (for about ten years), guitar (about seven years), upright bass (a few years). I also still remember how to play trumpet and most of the low brass instruments, but I'm out of practice on them. I also wish I was as good as playing bass for ten years might suggest......
These are the instruments I play the most often, from L to R: 1989 Squire Statocaster II, 1982 Ovation, and my Yamaha BB415
This one is in my closet waiting to be rebuilt.
The rebuild is going to add a third pick up for giggles, and have a much plainer paint scheme.
The bass is a DeArmond Pilot, it was my first bass.
I also have a couple of trumpets, and my upright bass, but it doesn't fit into my apartment so it lives in my parents attic for now
