I decided to put nothing on the front to make going prone much easier. IE no nylon pushing on my stomac

Get some gloves. Even out your pouches, man (I say this because it looks like both SAW pouches are on your right side, and after a good 2 hours your back will ache from being unbalanced). You should get a day-pack to simulate the extra ammo you would be carrying.

not necessarily. i don't wear any of that here in the field. FROG suit, SPC with MTV cumberbund, ACH, blast diaper, blast panties, my own belt with IFAK and dump pouch, issued chest rig, my own PMAGS, boots i've had since Oki last year (the Marine Corps is too cheap to get me RAT boots in my size), issued Camelbak FROG gloves, Oakley M frame 2.0 APEL shades and garbage issued ESS Crossbow clear lenses.
all of that is what we roll with in a line company.
