Old school members here will remember my GlockPod, a RIS Masterkey mounted G18C AEP that I threw on my old M4 PDW. Well, I revised the mount a bit and threw together a new gun to slap it on. Started with my old gen 1 Echo 1 M8A3, which I've done a few tweaks to over the last 2 years or so. To get it ready for this, I put together a 7" barrel and the RIS off of my Echo 1 ER16. Topped off with a Noveske, it looks a bit like a Noveske Diplomat.

The GlockPod mounts up very simply using two thumb screws. The mount was made out of two AR carry handle mounts flipped so they're level with each other. When using the RIS mount on the G18, it will mount up to pretty much any other RIS. When attached to the gun, it functions as a nice little foregrip that happens to function as a full auto, low powered pistol.

There are a few really cool benefits to using a system like this. Say you're using a high powered DMR with a minimum engagement distance, and you get some enemies pop up within your MED. You can switch to your sidearm, which can cost valuable time that can get you out, or just pull your left trigger, popping a few shots off from your lower powered pistol. The nice part about the AEP G18 design is that in order to remove the fully functional lower pistol portion from the cosmetic slide, you just need to push the rear of the slide, releasing it. When using the GlockPod, you can then easily pop the pistol off of the main gun if you want to either duel wield or swap batteries.

Overall, it's a cool little thing to whip up, and if anyone else has thrown one together, post it up here!
