Anybody carrying medical supplies?

Chiles:
I'm about to become a licensed Advanced-EMT and was wondering if any people carry dressings, splints, shears, saline, gloves, etc for the unfortunate yet inevitable injuries? I searched around and didn't find much so thought I'd ask.

I always carry a personal first aid kit on the field, but we have a large FA kit and stretcher in the staging area (in case we have to evac someone off the field)

My field isn't that sophisticated yet, although I'm sure I can get a board from a local department and possibly donate it to the cause (unless of course nobody there is trained to use it, where more harm than good would come out of it..)

I'm probably going to get some SAM splints, a bunch of gauze, occlusive dressings, saline, and most important, gloves. I already have shears from my EMT clinical rotations that I can rig into my MOLLE vest.

Sometimes I bring my IFAK along, but I've never had to use it.

You can find a good one online for around $50...

I carry the cure for all ills, a bottle of vodka and a couple of joints ;D

I think in general sites over here are smaller so very few people bother with a first aid kit as the safezone isn't usually more than a couple of minutes away if you run so medical assistance can be on the scene relatively quickly. Also a lot of the sites I've played at have a rule where any personal medication which may be needed in a hurry (eg asthma inhalers) must be kept in your left breast pocket.
