Yeah I would agree, the 552, kinda is lacking in some areas, but yes I do believe the main worry is who is using it.

it's a shame (to me) that they didn't make this gun full metal and fix those other issues (as I am no good mods that concern my gearbox). Maybe Classic Army, ICS, or G&P will come out with one.

Jeez everyone acts like a TM SIG isn't good Smiley. I am very very satisfied with my Marui SIG 552 which I have upgraded to 360fps. It works perectly for woodland because of its size in my opinion.

It really shines in CQB, With the stock folded the enemy won't see a barrel come around the corner, the folding stock allows me to hold the gun very close to my body, its weight is also really nice, not to heavy but not to light either. All in all great gun and great review!

That review really helped for making my gun choice, nice review on the gun. and yes, it is the "prettiest" of those gun.
I got it because i play woodland and CQB, it's still stock, but i can honestly say it can compete in both environments. Woodland with full stock and CQB folded stock. and yes, nice weight, only bad part is lack of external upgrades, but isn't much of a problem for me, just get a battery, vertical foregrip and a scope mount/RDS and you have a nice external look

I completely agree with ApethheticI, I have kept mine stock and am extremely happy with it, it has the swat-ish CQB look plus performs good in the woodland environments. I wish you could get a box mag for it though, it would be the perfect LMG.

p.s. apatheticI, your avatar is awesome, band of brothers is like the best show ever:^)

I'm praying for a G&P model of the 552.

really? i despise my 552, i cant find any parts for it.  My sig needs a new selector plate and i cant find anywhere.  Also the body is really weak compared to other guns.

Are you looking to get rid of it?

Here you go, SG 552 RIS Handgaurd   Cheesy
I might look into one for my 551 as well

Anyone know (or can guess) if it'll fit with minimal modifications? I'm not a whiz at this stuff and want an RIS for my gun. thanks
and still no luck on an AR stock adaptor

Can you take a normal short or long type motor, and put a medium length shaft on it? Can you interchange the pinion gear shafts between motors? I'm afraid that if I got this, I wouldn't be able to buy motors for it...

I hate plastic guns.  They feel flimsy.  I wish tokyo marui could smarten up and make there guns metal.  Hopefully the sig 552 that's suppose to come out by ics will be metal.

I just recieved one of these for free for doing something for a friend, but the motor was shot in it (I knew it in the first place) and he didnt give the old one.  So heres the question.  What type of motor does it use?  Short, medium or long?

They're great if your opponents happen to be using guns that shoot sun, wind, or dust though.

See: M14, Type 89.

And if you hate them that much, buy an MBK.

Great gun, mine shoots as far as my friends M14(but not as accurate), only thing it really lacks in attachments to it, little battery space, and its a little on the low side fps wise.  But, mine seems to shoot as far as other peoples guns just not as fast.
