PASGT Helmets and covers. Specific Question.
« on: July 17, 2006, 12:04:15 PM »

My question is specific, and revolves around the outside shape of the helmet.

My camo is exclusively British, and I keep seeing all over eBay helmet covers in British DPM and Desert camo. I know they are for the Mk VI Combat Helmet, but what I do not know is whether or not they will fit the US PASGT style helmet. I wrote one of the sellers who said that she thought the Dutch helmet covers might fit an American helmet better, but that was not enough to satisfy me, given how much International shipping will cost.

Does anyone have any experience with the PASGT helmets and helmet covers? If so, I would like to hear about it.

Thanks

Well if it's PASGT you may have a hard to finding any DPM covers to fit them because of the ear covers and lip visor, they might fit a ACH or MICH.

I have a Old style woodland and Tactical black covers for mine, and I know German Fleckcar fits, but for DPM it's hard to say.

you might just be better off going with a complete helmet/cover set like found here: http://www.surplusandadventure.com/ishop/800/shopscr1915.html

That's blasphemous. I haven't heard of a DPM helmet cover working with the PASGT. Find someone who own the DPM cover and see if you can get it to fit on your helemt. Just don't rip it in the process. Hey Weps, I support Israel too. 8)

I think your best bet with a DPM cover is getting a lamer replica PASGT, and then affixing it inside with duck tape.
