I recently received a VSR10 GSpec through a trade; come to find out, the sear & piston are worn. Pardon my lack of specific terminology here, as this is my first bolt rifle...I'll do the best I can.
The problem: Pull the bolt back and it sounds like it wants to catch..but if you release it, it snaps forward. The sear (?) that engages the piston (?) had a slight radius worn into it, and the raised ring that receives the sear was worn as well. Again, I'm not sure I'm using the proper words to describe said parts, but hopefully you have an idea of where the issue is.
I do want to be sure that what I order is correct -- I may install a ~500fps spring as well. I currently have a tightbore, ~400fps spring and metal spring guide. I'd like to spend as little as possible, but I do want a reliable and accurate 500fps rifle. If I can get out for ~$100, I'll be happy.http://www.poweredgeusa.com/product.asp?CategoryID=138&ID=2880
