I never got into Clancys books. I will start them and then get bored and move on to something else. My favorites are books that are actually by the soldiers, such as those i have mentioned before, like Recondo, by Larry Chambers, (which is now deceased because i read it until it literally fell apart, BEST book ever!). Then Tank Sergeant, and The March Up, (which is by an attached reporter, but he was a Marine in Vietnam, so he has similar views). Im not much into sneaky sneaky stuff, but Marine Sniper and Silent Warrior were both great, and because of them Carlos Hathcock is second only to Jesus on my list of heroes.
