Question: G36c handle on a BE g36K
« on: October 23, 2006, 08:14:00 PM »

I just got my be G36k and its kicks sweet ass  ;D. I though would love to have a G36c handle on it, seeing that the sights on the G36k is not very useful. What is the most logical way to get a G36c handle that will fit on my gun?

If you searched, you would have found Lazarus' problems with using a TM G36C Rail. Though, I believe Headshot_Master found it best to use a G36C rail from a LPEG G36C(DE?).

I assume with modifications.

I have parts from that very same gun. My first airsoft gun...good times.

I dont have a BE G36K. I have an XM8, so I dont use any of those parts. I can tell you, those parts are not standard G36 size. It isnt a 1-1 replica. Its smaller.

Would the handle on one of these fit the BE G36k? Its Identical to the LPEG version.

That would work, its the gun i used. But if i where you, i would get a DE m49, the kind that have adjustable hop-up, because the carry handle will have adjustable sights.

Here comes a rather newb question: Are adjustable sights that much more useful? I mean I know its another option to have and its definitely good...but now useful are adjustable sights compared to fixed sights? All i want to do is to be able to look through, aim and shoot accurately.

I got mine at affordableairsoft.com for $89 shipped (3 day select). Its the MGB version.

I'm thinking of getting the DE m41 to get the C rail from raidentech.

Any other suggestions?

If you dont have adjustable sights, the rail could be off and you could be stuck with sights that aim 10 feet off.

Then again, some people dont use iron sights at all, like me.  I just aim and point. Unless im trying to snipe someone.

I want to be able to aim with iron sights, which is the whole reason why i want a C rail...of course the rails are useful as well.

Is the cheap red-dot scope on the m41 adjustable?  Im considering getting one for the rail to stick on my g36k too and was wondering if the scope was any good.

If your getting a C rail that has non ajustable sites, and want your gun to look pimpnasty, then just stroll to your local wally world and pick up a BSA red dot site in the hunting/sporting goods section for $30. Its full metal and the best purchase you will ever make because you can use it on any gun w/ a top rail.

You mean like this?

This is using the DE rail set but the adjustable sights keep the rail from sitting all the way down in the back. You'll need to shave almost half of the back attachment point in half to get it to fit. Once done, there is basically nothing for the screw to attach to so it will be cosmetic. I have since redone this with a rail from a springer which has no mechanism for the sights so there is more space to work. The holes on the rail need to be moved slightly so they match the holes in the supports.

Using the DE means permanent modification to the body while using the CYMA or springer rails mean you can switch back to the K rails later in the future if you'd like. On both rails you'll have to shave off the side extensions on the front support so the front of the rails can slide on.

I have since added a Laylax AR stock adapter with a 6 point retractable stock and the Private parts M4 magazine adaptor. Neither are "plug and play" and some modifications are required.
