I don't know exactly how new this is, but I just saw it on RedWolf's site, and since I'm making an M16A4, it came at the perfect time.

Any comments? Is it realistic? Too phony? Better than CA's? Worse?

That's the exact piece I plan on putting on my G&P M16A3 (really an A4) to mod up to the M16A4 MWS.
I've done alot of research on this, and I believe G&P gear to be superior from what
I've seen on the field and in my research on numerous blogs/forums.

Though I haven't got it yet any extra info on installation problems or tips is still needed.

(though I bet someone is going to be posting something about how many times this has
come up in these forums, It doesn't matter, who has time to do a search and look through
every thread for the info they need. Know what I mean?!)

The difference is the front end close to the front sight, the rails on the top and
bottom extend all the way which is more realistic to the real steel M16A4. MWS
I can't find a retailer for it though.
CA makes one, I'm just curious about it's compatability with my G&P.

I believe those pieces are one and the same. RedWolf won't load for me right now, but I found the piece on WGC, and they look identical.

No, they were different, I do close inspections on this issue.  They were similar but the difference is as I stated above.  Just trying to help.

Ive got a M5 RAS on a CA body and it fits no problem.  It comes with plenty of spacers to get everything lined up and tight.  Its a very nice RAS for an M16a4, it really helps to make the front end super solid.

Thats an RAS? I thought those were RIS...

Ive always wanted one but I dont like using a delta ring so I bought a G&P M4 LONG RAS but the G&P build quality is very nice

read the link, go to KAC's site, Look at any site that sells real M5 RAS units or talks about the M16a4MWS and it will be called a RAS.  Its a RAS

Freefloating has nothing to do with it being a RAS or a RIS.
