Well I've been talking about it for a while, so here it finally is!

Galaxy MP5K PDW ordered from www.nitroairsoft.com. They are highly recommended! Great customer service!
Price $125 Shipped

First impressions:
The box that it came in is surprisingly good! I don't know who Galaxy is, but their translation skills are excellent!

Included:
In this fantastic, glossy box came the gun, 8.4v 1400mah NiMh stick battery, charger, sling, magazine style speed loader, 2 magazines, one high cap-full length, and one low cap-shorty, cheapo bbs. The usual stuff.

Gun first impressions:
Very high quality plastics. Metal is a bit iffy looking, but strength does not seem to be a problem. The gun itself is suprisingly heavy for it's size. No creaks, wobbles, shimmies, anything. Very solidly built. Metal parts include: Stock hinge, 3 lug 14mm negative threaded barrel, Body pins, Selector switch, Front sight, Lower mag release, Both magazines, and Cocking handle. The rest of the gun is made of nicely textured, very strong plastic.

Trades:
Holy crap! Kal.9mmx19 on the left side of the mag well! Nicely molded into the body. Other than that, it has the Galaxy logo below the caliber markings. On the other side it says made in china, galaxy, G.5. The fire mode indicators are painted on, but they seem sturdy, won't scratch off easily.

Firing the gun:
To put the battery in, you need to first remove the two rear body pins. You do this by pushing the retaining loops into the pin, and pushing them through the other side. After you take the pins out, remove the rear stock. Then you need to take the front pin/sling mount using the same method. Slide the foregrip off after that step. Slide the battery from the back to the front, snaking the wires past the cocking handle and into the area that the foregrip covers. Connect the battery to the gun. After you do that, you can carefully slide the foregrip back on, avoiding the battery wires. Do the same thing with the stock. Replace all body pins, using the same technique as taking them out. After loading the low cap magazine with 28 rounds, or loading the hi cap one with approx. 230, click it into the magazine well. Don't be scared to force it in the first few times. It has a strong spring that needs to wear down with time. Goggles on, weapon on safe, it's off to the range!

Performance:
The selector switch moves smoothly between it's settings, with a satisfying click at each stop. Click it from safe to semi and let out a few shots. You will be surprised with how loud and poppy this gun is! Trigger response is good, not great, but a better battery wouldn't hurt in this department. Shots are a little wild at first. Cleaning the barrel well will help with this. The hop-up adjuster is located in the area accessible by removing the foregrip. It's a little white tab that moves back and forth. Seems like it won't move on it's own, but only time will tell. On full auto, the ROF leaves a little to be desired. It's not particularly bad, especially when you consider that an 8.4v stick battery is pulling an M100 spring.
The gun chronod at 324-328fps with .20 gram matrix bbs consistently. Range, after tweaking the hop-up was 120' torso hit 9 out of 10 times. Past that, they go a little wild, but you're only working with a barrel that's about 4" long. Personally, I was impressed.

Modifications:
What's nice about this gun is that you can switch from a PDW stock, to a stockless K model by taking out 2 screws! Other than that, I have a sight mount from a Well R8, BSA RDS, Mock supressor from a $30 Lpeg. On the way is a 10" Element Mock mock silencer, and a 300mm Madbull Tightbore. Maybe an Intellect or a custom 9.6v wired into the stock down the line, but for now, the ROF is my ammo conserver!

Pros:
FPS
Cost
Build quality
Caliber trades
Size
2 Mags

Cons:
Metal could be better
ROF
Battery is a P.I.T.A. to get out! You pretty much have to charge it in the gun.

Overall:
I love this thing. It has replaced my AGM M14 as my favorite right now. With this much power in such a small package, people will think twice about making fun of your tiny gun! I give it a 9 out of 10

Let me know what else you want to know, and I'll include it!

Now for the pics!
With mount and RDS added:
Mock mock silencer, no RDS:
Remove these 2 screws on the stock mount to remove the stock entirely:
Stockless, short mag:
Holy Trades Batman! :
Battery goes here:
And connects here:
The Hop-up adjustment is the white thing that I'm pointing to. Rabid dachshund not included!
Long Mag and Supressor:

Kewl!
I concur.

could you also get some pics about how/where the battery goes? It seems confusing and a pain in the @$ when you described it. Thanks.

O, its just in at airsoftgi.com for $120. They say its 265 fps! According to everywhere else it doesnt even go below 300. Hmmm.

I don't know where they got that number from. My shots never went below 324fps.

Oh, that battery. It truly is a b*tch to remove. It slides into the upper receiver area from the back of the gun (section parallel to the cocking handle; goes in connector-first).

Spot on review. Mine chrono'd @ 330-337 FPS (Tsunami .20s) but I've only run ~2500 rounds through it. It should wear with a little more use. The only problem I've had with it so far was a dirty inner barrel but that is easily fixed with a little cleaning. I bought a new Intellect battery so I'll see how that does next week.

Good job.

Thanks, I'm debating whether I should fluff it a little bit and move it to the pre production review

So is there any possibility of putting a bigger battery in the foregrip, or would you have to stick it on the outside (which i definitely think would be worth it for CQB).

No such luck with the battery in the foregrip. You can take out the cocking handle and put a 9.6v stick in there. Either that or custom build one into the stock.

Drat. well at least the cocking handle idea would work well, if i get a cqb weapon i only need 2 things, trigger response and a fast ROF (as long as accuracy and fps are decent).

Check out this mode i found. You can use this for your large battery needs  Smiley http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/?filnavn=/projects/k_stock/k_stock.htm

Also, how long does it take to stick the battery in there? Hopefully its not to annoying. BTW they changed the fps on the mp5k at airsoftgi.com to 315. I feel much better now.

Good job on the review. My battery wouldn't even fit in the foregrip, so I just ordered a few intellects, along with all of my highspeed parts, and a box of MAG mags. For the battery, I think you need to do the bolt mod, which renders the cocking lever useless, but its worth it anyway, because you can't use the cocking lever when the batteries in the gun anyway. I wonder if painting the metal would help with that. I'm considering doing that when I take mine apart. Btw does anyone know how to dissasemble it, because I can't find anywhere to tell me how to. Again great review.

Yeah, he's the uBeR 1337 sNi9er pWnr of all the neighborhood cats! On topic, I heard that you can dremel part of the cocking handle off to put a 9.6v in, but I can't confirm it. When the battery is in, you can't cock the handle back. So everybody knows! I don't think it would be too hard to do the stock mod. You pretty much have to charge the battery in the gun anyways, so that's not a big deal. Thanks for props guys! And for dissassembly, I hate to be obvious, but just take all the screws and pins out. I'll have a more detailed explanation when I do it myself!

Has anyone thought about putting a long tightbore in + mock silencer to cover extra length? Also, is it possible just to remove the foregrip and charge the battery while it is still in the gun?

Yes, you can just remove the foregrip and charge the battery.  It is not really that hard to pull three pins to pull the battery out either.

Just receive my last night.  Shoots well and is loud compared to my AE MP5.

Yes, but if you are using this gun for CQB it is plenty accurate -- at least mine is -- and doesn't require a longer barrel. Just make sure the barrel is clean and this gun will put the bb wherever you aim.

If you had read the modification section of the review, you would see that I have a 300mm Madbull TB and an Element 10" mock mock silencer coming. It's about double the length of the stock inner barrel. I'll let you know how it turns out. Stock accuracy is really good for CQB, but my team does a lot of open field Desert games, so I want it to be better for that as well. And honestly, it's easier to just charge the battery in the gun, by removing the foregrip. The battery is in the gun REALLY tightly, and it's a pain to get out.
