I just want to set this straight. I get a few emails every week asking things that should be common knowledge to airsofters.
This is good to know for setting up teams and "loadouts".
Some one in the Army-is a soldier
Some one in the Marines-A Marine (always capatalize the M)
Some one in the airforce-An Airmen
Some one in the Navy- a squid-I mean a Sailor
If your team is wearing MARPAT and you are calling yourselves soldiers, your wrong. Simple. Thats if you are trying to look like something, if your just farting around with friends its ok. I personally prefer "troops"
Not every one in the "combat oriented" services EI: Army and Marines, is in combat. Most arnt, so asking a Soldier or Marine how many people he has killed is rude, and not something to be asked.
Like wise, not all Airmen fly jets, not all sailors serve on boats.
I would love to see an airsoft team model on Airforce SP, Security police. Who are actually pretty hardcore.
And hooah to all service members and cadets. This is all us.
