Looks decent. What about pricing and performace data? And you can be sure no one on your field will have one of these!!!

Ugh, trying to pull off a modern Chinese loadout is gonna be tough. It's annoying that these are being delayed for so long. When are these hitting the market? I see the ads everywhere.

RS Type 97B AEG

Following the release of RS type 97, the type 97B, the short assault rifle of 97 family will have its replica as well.

In China, there is a saying about the weapons of Wushu that the simpler, the more effective. The shorter the weapon is,the more agile, quick and deadly when it is in use. When people see the smart and compact type 97B, they can’t help to have the feeling of appear and disappear mysteriously, one shot- one kill.

The overall length of type 97B assault rifle is 620mm, weight (with unloaded magazine) is 3.1kg and the effective range is 300 meters. The smart gun can function as a sub machine gun, because 97B uses assault rifle bullets and its power is nearly the same as rifle.

97B is known for its high performance, precise shooting, great power, compact size, light weight, and all ready taking aim function. It can use white light, glimmer and red dot sight, etc.

The most distinguishing feature of this gun is the muzzle device, with trumpet-shape flash hider in the front part and thick cylinder design in the back part. When firing, it can reduce the blaze and noise. And with the help of unique foregrip, it can restrain the muzzle jumping.

Type 97B uses the same materials and techniques as type 97. The stock, grip, upper handguard are made of high strength polymer, and frame is forged by the duralumin. Thus the overall weight is reduced. The hard coat anodizing finish on surface enforces the rigidity, wearability and anticorrosion of frame, which makes the frame more nice and practical.

The magazine port of type 97B is straight and button type, which is compatible with US M16 and Belgium FNC assault rifle.

Type 97B is usually equipped to special operation forces, the armed helicopter operators, and guarders for important members of government. Due to this kind of reason, there is only little information about type 97B. As more and more about Chinese weapons were learned by people, the type 97B becomes a shining star to the military fans. In the cyber game Battlefield 2, type 97B armed to the Chinese special force brings much fun to players of carrying a type 97B.There are so much desire to take a look at type 97B.

From Battlefield 2

From Battlefield 2

And now RS is unveiling the mystery of type 97B, and supplying players with realistic AEG. The RS 97B has perfectly fulfilled the developing concept of RS product. That is faithful to the original size, original techniques and original outlook design, truly experienced the battle feeling of short assault rifle type 97B in the game.

When type 97B display in your front, you would be shocked by its smart body. When you see it you can’t help to touch it immediately. Guns on the shoulder, you feel the AEG becomes part of you. Caring to every detail, RS has nothing to regret about this type 97B, which is made into AEG for the first time.

RS punctiliously presents the details of remarkable trumpet muzzle device, gas regulator and front sight base. All those parts are made of steel and treated with chemistry complex film finish & black-oxide same as real steel, shining and calm.

Press the release button on sight base and free it from the retainer on gas regulator, to adjust the gas regulator. In real steel: the figure “1” is small gas hole for using under normal condition. “2” is big gas hole for using under foul condition and the recoiling energy of bolt is not enough. RS products have preserved all those functional operation.

Pull backward the axle and release the mantle locking. Rotate the mantle anticlockwise to take it away. All the details of original part are perfectly presented. After taking away the mantle, we can see the inner structure of muzzle device.

Take down the trumpet-shape flash hider and connect an airsoft mock suppressor to the 14mm negative muzzle thread. Amazingly cool!

Dovetail groove mount base used for connecting with all kinds of sights. It can also cooperate with 97 series picatinny mount base adapter made by RS to connect all brands of optical sights.

Type 97B has a special lower handguard which is different from type 97. It also differs from the grip of type 95 in that it is in an arc shape which is an ergonomic design to short assault rifle. Such design plus the thumb place above the grip makes holding gun very comfortable and firm.

Steel parts of RS 97B include one piece barrel, muzzle device, outer barrel, sight base, charging handle cover and scope base, of which surface finish are same as real steel. Also those steel parts are processed with anticorrosion same as real steel. Outer barrel and its components are held in place by interference fit techniques and pins, which make the short rifle more compact and rigid.

RS precisely controls the tolerance of the outer barrel and makes the gap between outer barrel and inner barrel very small. And this small gap guarantees the high accuracy and bullet grouping.

Same as RS type 97, RS T1 7mm bearing metal gearbox is put into the duralumin forged and CNC processed frame. But RS type 97B is equipped with high speed motor which increases the shooting frequency and firepower.

Battery compartment is located in the lower handguard. And the minimum battery capacity is 9.6V 1500mah.

Like RS type 97, disassembly and assembly of RS type 97B by hand are almost the same as real steel.

Tools in the accessories box make the operation of AEGs just like operating real steel. Those tools can be used to adjust the front sight, remove clogged bullets, clean the inner barrel, and load BB magazine. Do not forget to maintenance your AEG with the standard oil can.

From the quick joining of RS type 97B, the time to see all members of RS 97 family would not be far away.

Reminds me of a shortened FAMAS... Hideous flash hider aside, that's one very nice gun.

I'm impressed, especially with that slim little gearbox. I hope this company keeps the unique designs coming, more variation in airsoft is always a good thing.

I find it funny that they model only the 5.56x45mm export version of the gun that uses M16 mags, but not the PLA's 5.8x42mm version which uses its own mags

Good move on their part. Save alot on costs as opposed to developing and producing their own proprietary magazines.

Someone make me a FAMAS G2...

Oh, hey: is it just me or does the 97B look a little like the Assault Rifle from Deus Ex (The Original)?
