Airsoft op in South Carolina

This is going to be a one day op near Greenville, SC. It is at a paintball field that is reserved for the op for the entire day. It has 13 fields, but we will use the entire area as one large field. Despite the fact that this is a paintball field, the area is really awesome for airsoft, and the 2 speedball fields will not be used. The only requirements are ANSI87 eye protection, and that full auto guns shoot 405 fps with .20g or less, and semi auto guns shoot 505 fps with .25g bbs. Go here to find out the details and register. Here is a synopsis of the scenario:

    The year is 2007. Russia is in shock and turmoil, as the government has been recently overthrown in a coup. Under Russian General Grisha Kulikov, a blitzkrieg attack by a revolutionary group of Russian soldiers has taken the government by force. After this power seize, the majority of the Russian army joined the new government, named the DPRR. Patriots (and sympathizers of the old government) within the military and surviving leadership have formed a rebel force in Smolensk with the intention of restoring the previous President-General Michail Chichagov.
    The DPRR has already acknowledged that they have a portable nuclear warhead and rumors are that they are holding it in Moscow for use when they have identified that Chichagov has returned to the country and back into his stronghold at Smolensk. U.S. sympathizers have broadcast the possibility of U.S. involvement via Special Forces.  The DPRR fears that the U.S. soldiers may bring a newly-developed, portable EMP weapon that could render their warhead electronics useless.

OPERATION: RED THUNDER

Operation: Red Thunder is a one-day scenario of airsoft games that will occur in Woodruff, South Carolina on Sunday, May 7th, 2006.

The scenario can be summarized as a final battle in a fictional Russia where the government has been overthrown a powerful force of revolutionaries and now must battle a well-supported rebel force intent on returning the original government.

Op: Red Thunder is open to all airsoft enthusiasts, and is intended to be a regional operation for the multiple airsoft groups from the states of South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia. Any enthusiasts outside the region are also welcome to attend.

We are looking forward to an exciting day of airsoft and community-building, so please make plans now to attend and share your interest with others!

Op: Red Thunder is being organized and marketed by the South Carolina Airsoft Association. The South Carolina Airsoft Association (S.C.A.A.) is an all-volunteer group focused on organizing airsoft games in South Carolina and expanding the sport-hobby of airsoft. We have a strong member-base and an ever-increasing number of players.
