MG-42 mod
«

do you think it would be possible to create an MG-42 AEG, with a ruger 10/22 stock kit, and maybe a pulse R70 rifle
thanks, Max

Of course it's possible, but not that easy. And if you only stuck the stock on the pulse R70, it would make a pretty lame MG-42.
You'd need a lot more custom parts, and maybe parts from other guns before it would look decent.

with the Ruger stock it will only be 3/4 size for an mg 42.
It will be about the rigjht size for a Cetme Ameli
http://www.bellum.nu/armoury/CAmeli.html
http://books.google.com/books?id=z7nW8LpDOBoC&pg=PA76&lpg=PA76&dq=cetme+ameli+squad+automatic+weapon&source=web&ots=fXBGkB3sUJ&sig=ozBCTSll7-Q9gWYbq_nIVXumWIM
I would say you would need to buy the stock measure the inside and find out what mech box will fit. Possibly you coul use a version 3 from a Mpeg either an AK or AUG.
If you have you heart set on a mg 42 try this:
http://www.cushmanpaintball.com/replicamg42.html
someone else has already adapted one to airsoft. search for airsoft electric mg42 and you shou8ld find his page

thanks, any idea on how much this would cost? I think i'll have to increase firing speed with a stronger battery, but accuracy doesn't matter that much to me

hears the video for the airsoft mg42 that zbear was talking about
http://youtube.com/watch?v=cjrnKZw4HzE
and for a faster firing rate youd probably need a new motor and bigger bat.

ok, this project is simply not worth doing if it's based on some POS lpeg. you need to start with something or chinese aeg or higher quality.
also, I am 90% sure this will never happen.

well i could use a cheaper mold from cushmanpaintball.com for like $50.00 and just put the gun in it and add some new upgraded internal parts

Actually, you can't really do much to upgrade that gun. I also agree with using a MPEG.

Hoppers are unreliable. Just make a drum mag out of a hicap and some other raw materials. You'll be much happier in the end.

specifically with the hopper is that when firing at high speed the bbs bounce around like hell and never seem to feed efficiantly.

You should probably do a drum magazine, like on
this
one.
WGC Shop is pretty l33t! I was just going to post the picture on the page, but when I right clicked (to go to properties and copy the URL) a window came up that said copyrighted!

It looks like you can buy a drum mag shell at the cushman paintball link. It's pictured under accessories...
Stuff the guts of a hicap in there, along with a servo and a battery, and voila, instant drum mag.

They actually make kits for the Ruger that make it look like an MG42.

yeah ive seen those to, but to modify one to work with an airsoft gun would be so hard and time consuming, youd probably be better of buying the cushman paintball shell and modify that
