I want this gun. Want it so much. The only problem is that I don't know who really makes it, and it is probably cheaper elsewhere. Who really makes it?

WG (and other off brand names) < Taurus < KWC < Cybergun. I was gonna buy it for $60 at Sports Authority, but I decided against it because it was a NBB.

The CO2 version is the 9mm, smaller, version. Anyone know of a better place to buy the .45 then shorties?

The 9mm is probably the exact same in airsoft form, just like the old KJW USP's

No, I have the 9 and compared it to the one at dicks and it looks quite different.

If you can, get the KWC version as the other (from Shorty USA) is not nearly as good. Basically that gun is built on the Palco springer version of the .45 24/7.

Airsoft International did a article on this pistol just last month. They also confused it with the KWC version, however, they are totally different.

I'm pretty sure that Metrowest Paintball & Dart is still carrying the CO2 KWC 24/7 and Sig SP2022. You can e-mail him at: mwpaintball@yahoo.com or call him at 508-481-3791 (Massachusetts)

Yeah that doesn't look like the KWC, it looks much cheaper, and to my knowledge, the KWC is CO2 ONLY.

the gun the gent posted from shorties also is sold under the tippmann name, yep the paintball folks have gotten into airsoft, it definatly is a wingun which is a variation of the palco as already stated and ..... is rebadged for tippmann, the local paintball shop got some of the tippy stuff in just to see what they were like, surprisingly the gun performed pretty well with us just messing around with it in thier shop, its co2 as well and hits well over 300

on the flip side my friend has the KWC Cybergun branded "Taurus Replicas" and its definately based off the 9 mm frame of the real 24.7 where the Wingun is based off the .45 frame, and in a final twist I used to have a 9mm Taurus which was why my friend bought the airsoft version, he loved my real steel, i miss my ol 24.7, that cybergun of his feels right at home in my hands, even has the same long real steel DAO trigger pull I grew to love after initially hating, so much different than the easy pull on my Marui glocks or other single actioned pistols, yes I do both varieties ;)

so there you have it, each is not exactly the same but both hit pretty hard and seemed pretty accurate for thier intended purposes, a great reliable functioning sidearm ;)  based off of 2 very popular and successfully selling Taurus models in real steel, YMMV as usual

I dont think buying it from another retailer will save you much money, shorty usually has pretty good prices

Maybe the only other site you've been to is wal-mart?

On average, Shorty is 15-40 dollars higher than average, but at least they have those hilarious reviews :P

i saw an ad for one of these in an airsoft magazine, and it was made by "taurus" and had their trades.  it was a CO2 NBB and had an advertized rating of 380 fps with .12s, so i would say that with .2s, it would have a decent velocity of about 340 fps.  it was also advertized to be able to shoot 16 mags without changing the CO2 cartridge.  it's made by softair USA so that=cybergun/KWC.

Interesting about whether it's a KWC or not, but that WG106 is EXACTLY the model I reviewed for AI (I have it here in my hand :) )

Looking again, it does appear that the KWC 24/7 is more detailed in the frame and the magazine is different, so it looks as though the posts saying the KWC 24/7 is a better replica are true (probably a better gun, too, I suspect).

That review is laughable, though. The chamber is open ok, but only onto the fixed mechanism inside and as for being as well made as a $130 GBB :D :D :D

Powerwise, I got about 330fps out of the 106 at 70F.

Cheers

The KWC is based on their springer, which is the 9mm version of the 24/7. It is a excellent NBB and has very good range, accuracy and power. Build quality is excellent as is the design.

The WG version is of the .45 size pistol and in no way compares with the KWC. It is much less detailed, made up trades are terrible and the build materials are nowhere near as good as the KWC.
