So whats the difference then?
They're two completely different companies that happen to share a similar name.

I speak chinese, and I'm pretty sure "Jing" is golden, not "jin".
Plus, all the retailers have it spelled Jing.

I speak Chinese too, and 'gold, golden' is "jin".

For example, the online version of Lin Yutang's _Chinese Dictionary of Modern Usage_ says it's "jin1" ("1" is the tone): http://humanum.arts.cuhk.edu.hk/cgi-bin/agrep-lindict?query=%aa%f7&category=wholerecord

Not all retailers think it's "Jing"--airsoft1 has it correct on this page (http://www.airsoft1.com/Airsoft-Buyers-Guide-s/89.htm), in which they say "Jin Gong". However, if you look online, some people say "Jin Gong", some say "Jing Gong", and some say both interchangeably (like the Steyr AUG review at http://www.airsoftretreat.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=167&cat=63).

I don't think A&K stands for anything.

Now that I think hard about it, A&K is definately not Aftermath & Kirenex. I believe Kirenex is an A&K AEG rebranded by Aftermath. A&K still stands for nothing.

Shouldn't we also get translations for the names of the companies?

I think CSI was just a rebrand by Shorty USA, like matrix, that was supposed to be Crime Scene Investigation

I don't think that WELL stands for anything.
Though if it did, I'm sure it would mean "We Eat Large Liverwurst."

And yes, CSI is just a Shorty rebrand, much like "Matrix" is a Evike rebrand.  My first electric was a first generation Jing-gong AK47 rebranded as "Matrix."

I would guess that CSI is just trying to gain some thunder from the TV series, along with Matrix trying to steal thunder from the movie.
