One of the latest AEP releases out of China

I picked it up from Globe Product supply for a cool $39
http://www.wholesalecentral.com/globeproductsupply/store.cfm?event=itemdetail&itemid=569237&returnto=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Ewholesalecentral%2Ecom%2Fglobeproductsupply%2Fstore%2Ecfm%3Fevent%3Dshowcatalog%26catid%3D91728

 First impressions:

It's very very nice looking. The fit and finish is great. The plastic grip panels are a bit shiny. They feel a little thin too, almost LPEGish. The grip panels are connected together behind the mag baseplate.

The finish on the metal bits is a nice matte black. This has a metal slide btw, which gives the gun a decent heft. The "outer barrel" is plastic though.
The fire selector is just like a M93r's. And the slide is removed the same way.
This comes with the same accessories as the M81 USP, a plastic mock suppressor, 500mah battery, cleaning rod, wall charger, and a speedloader.

People have been wondering about mag compatibility. Unfortunately the mags are specific to this AEP. While they look similar to the USP mags, the angle of the feed lip and bottom plate is different. They hold 30 rds. I kinda wish DE had made the M92 before the USP. Then the USP could've shared these internals and had the correct grip angle. DE could've easily made the mags compatible between the two then. Oh well.

Now the bad stuff...................It kinda sorta broke Sad
 This piece snapped

It's part of the metal piece that the nozzle spring pushes against. It still operates just fine, but the metal piece can rock fore to aft a bit. It also directs all the nozzle springs force to two little pins and the plastic frame. I'd imagine if I continue to run it as-is something else would break. I'm gonna fab up a little metal bracket to connect from the screw for the plastic nozzle cover to the screw the broken piece originally connected to. That should take care of it.
Other than that little disaster, the only other niggle is the trigger. Just like the DE USP, the trigger rests too far forward. Them Chinese must have extra long trigger fingers or something.

 More pics...

 With my Jieke M93r...

Before anyone asks, No I haven't done any performance testing. I put a few mags through it, it tore up a box good enough. The gearbox sounds great.

Thank You so much !!!
I was waiting for this. I'm an aep fanatic and I also purchased a M92f from globe but the hammer snapped but they gladly replaced my item. I to0 was thinking about purchasing a m93r but from the looks of ur comparison , its quite pointless...looks just like one another but the m92f is more better.

That gun would look sweet if the grips were painted wood like the m93r.
Thanks for the review.

Your hammer broke? DE must be using some crappy metal here.
I considered returning mine to Globe for a replacement, but figured since it should be an easy fix it wasn't worth the hassle.

My Jieke M93r wasn't too great outa the box and this DE isn't off to a great start, but I like 'em both. Time will tell if this is as good as the USP or Cyma Glock.

Thanks for the review.
I thought the same thing and tried to swap grips between the M92 & M93. The left side grip fits perfect, but the upper screw hole on the right side grip is positioned differently.

Seriously crap... the metal felt more lead based than steel. I'm tellin u man, we need a aep colt soon lol.
Anyways, my replacement should be coming soon tomorrow so I'm happy.
Question... if u have the m92f, is it worth getting the m93r also? Its slightly different but is it worth it?
To me its like a g17 or a g19, not much of a different. None the less, they are still not the same.
would you recommend I get the m93r also?
by the way, u posted the m84b as a m81, might wanna change that.

No, I wouldn't bother getting the M93r. Unless you're putting in a wholesale order and have $35 to blow.
I too hope to see some more AEP's getting made. I love 'em Smiley

My aep is awesome, my m81 and cm030 is joined with the m84. The m92f mag release kind of sucks. What I did realized is the cool feature of unscrewing the top barrel and painting my tip black much easier. Unfortunately I couldn't find any flat black paint so I used gloss like urs. Not bad, not bad at all. But heres a suggestion that I was wondering if anyone would want to try this...
..paint the beretta chrome finish like the kjw version. It would be so much better.
I would do it but I've never been tasked to paint an entire gun, just slides tips, and minor small adjustments. If anyone is brave enough to try this.. please take pics!!!

hello
did you measure the barrel lenght?

i wish to upgrade the barrel on my Cybergun Beretta (clone of M84) but i can't understand wich PDI barrel should i take:

G18C AEP Stainless Steel Inner Barrel (6.01mm x 105mm)
USP AEP PALSONITE Inner Barrel (6.01mm x 111.5mm)
M93R AEP Stainless Steel Inner Barrel (6.01mm x 122mm)

wihout desassemble the AEP, i measured a lenght between 110 and 115mm...

115mm sounds right. I had measured mine before because I was thinking about getting a Dee's custom. I was gonna try to go a little longer than stock, but in order to do that I'd have to drill out/chop the metal piece at the front. Which would basically make the new barrel the only thing holding the front of the slide = BAD

until now, i could not find a proper barrel for this AEP.
Only the USP barrel is the most close with its lenght

what do you think?
