Mini review of WE all metal Luger P08(Full-auto repair)

(1/14) > >>

c6250:
It was one of my biggest desires to have a shooting, all metal construction Luger P08. It was a very expensive affair to buy one of those after-market brass/aluminum kit to convert a Tanaka P08 to a decent all-metal P08. Now there is this WE all-metal P08, things are very different now…..

The gun came in a printed paper box, on the outside are the line-up of different barrel length on display.

What come with the gun is:
Luger P08
3 Allen keys
An user manual. (Fairly comprehensive but lacking some important points on disassembling of the gun.)
A piece of black clothes to make the whole package more presentable

The gun itself is black in color, with black plastic grip panel (too bad). Apart from the grip panels, o-rings and several gas-sealing elements, the whole thing is in metal. The weight of the gun (with magazine) is 870g, which is close to the empty-weight of it’s real counterpart. There is no proof-mark or manufacturer’s mark (too bad), only a fitting number (15) is found on several surfaces. On top of the chamber a number 1915 (date mark?) is found. Outwardly the gun follows the it’s real counter-part closely, but there is a single screw found on the right side which shouldn’t be.

Close-up of muzzle
The inner barrel is made of brass. Please note that the inside of muzzle is threaded, fitting of other attachment is possible.

Close-ups on the left side, note the fitting number.

Close –ups on the right side, note the only screw, which cannot be found on the real gun.

Close-ups on the rear of the toggle, note the fitting number.

Close-ups on the chamber, note the date mark 1915.

Shooting
My 4-inch P08 surprise me with accuracy. It can shoot a grouping of 3cm from a distance of 5m. The blowback is mild but positive, the response is fast (easily 4 shots per seconds) and the toggle remains in open position after the last shot is fired.

Sadly, the power is not that great, only one-side (using top-gas), but there is saying that an 8-inch one can shoot through can-bottom right out of the box.

If there are enough interest I will post more.
Enjoy!

Atilla:
good info, thanks for doing a write-up of this!

Gunnman:
Nice, but could you tell us the price you got it at?

The Old Man:
I've definately got to get one of these. Possibility of a silenced Luger-oh man, just too good to pass up.

edesotelle:
is it possible to mount real wood grips onto the gun?
