^^^1000 rps is not that fast for this style of SMG. The KWA Mac fires around 1200, and my M50 fires about 1400 (I measured 24 rounds a second with a fresh cartridge, which is actually 1440). Remember though, the faster the ROF, the faster you'll be screwed due to running out of ammo! But these SMGs are so much fun to use it almost makes up for it.
Speaking of which...are there spare mags available yet? I've been considering just buying a couple more M50s (or TF-11s perhaps) just for the mags (well, and spare parts should I ever need them).
As for holstering for the M50, what I did was rip some of the threads out of a mac 11 holster, and widened it in the back with a new strip of nylon as the support. Some sewing help from mommy
. The trouble is that the gun is unbalanced with the mag in, so when I have it holstered I usually put the spare mag in the spare mag pouch rather than the gun itself. This obviously increases drawing time by a couple seconds. I hope that when I get a spare mag, I can leave one mag in the gun and one in the pouch and it will hopefully balance good enough. But of course the holstered gun will still be somewhat backheavy with such a long mag....
Say DJ, have you had the problem of the M50 firing in random length bursts rather than consistent full auto? I had to do some "gunsmithing" to fix this problem, but i was wondering whether or not it is common.
