Does look nice though I think the many colors (especially mustard) are a bit annoying. I'm waiting to see if the black comes out.

Oh dang, its a CA clone  Embarrassed  I was honestly hoping for a VFC clone, but thats okay I guess.  I got a chance to look over a CA the other day at an op.  And I wasn't exactly impressed with the fact it broke down after the first 20 minute game.

But atleast it looks nice, and its better than the JLS.  And have the price of the CA, so its a good compromise.  Will be a huge improvement over my now OOS Echo 1/Dboys M4, atleast for CQB purposes.

hmm..since dboys is making the first good clone of a Scar (not counting JLS), it makes my 400$ g&g feel less "unique".

Ya but it's a G&G so it'll always be unique with it's unique quirks.  Grin

The SCAR design itself is solid anyway so that along with metal where applicable will no doubt lead to a great body.  Dboy packs in great internals as well so this should be a best seller.
I'm having trouble with my Echo1 416 simply because a pin on the inside of the RIS handguard snapped so there is minimal wobble...which annoys me to no end, so I moved my ACOG up to fill the gap (red/green cross version).

The SCAR doesn't have that sort of issue.  It's basically a big, ugly, rock-solid lead spitter.

amen to the rock solid body.

Tritityairsoft (man, they reply fast!) just informed me they may sell it around late September, so if you're like me, you won't be waiting for Trinity

I cant wait for a SCAR that could live up to its name..being strong powerful and durable, I mean its suppose to be the future of rifles... not some look alike wannabe.

Well I don't know how it would be any more powerful than an M-series, G-series, or AK 5.56 series, considering they all use the same exact round.
The AEG seems on par to the other Dboy/Kalash models.  Like all "clone" companies the only thing in question is longevity.

It's not that it's more powerfull, just more accurate, reliable, and modular.

RS talk aside, I really want this, but I don't want to have a gun that doesn't look right without an eotech.

Looks great with an aimpoint or ACOG, and since it's supposed to be more accurate the ACOG fits perfectly.

Eotechs are overrated and replicas are over-glorified shells around a red dot.

That may be so, but they just fit on the SCAR in a way words can't describe. Easily the best optic/rifle combination out there imo.
And have you ever actually used a real eotech?

I'd rather buy another AEG than a $400 optic. My friend has a real Eotech (which he got for free because he has family in the DEA).  The replicas don't even compare and I'd assume that most airsofters don't have the funds to buy a real Eotech.

My preference would be to get a higher quality red dot than the junk eotech replicas out there. $100 can get a nice red/green dot, reflex sight, or even a 4X magnifying ACOG with the correct reticule.

well,  if you aren't the one buying it (graduation gifts ftw!) then it's OK. And they look so sweet on just about anything. I also hate aimpoints and ACOGs, so yeah... eotechs ftw...
ahem.. on topic now...
Definately getting this when airsplat gets it in if it's around 160 and I sell my BAR-10 in time. hint. anyone want to buy a bar-10 Smiley?

lol graduation gifts? I'm all out of graduations.

Does anyone know if they'll ever have the DMR variant of the SCAR?  Everyone says it's such a modular system, but it's always sold as CQB length.
Does anyone know where I can get a straight barrel extension for the 20" barrel for SCARs/416s? All I can seem to find is the 14.5".

^ well, it comes with a barrel extension (look at the RSOV pics), but I'm not sure if that's what you're asking about

^That just extends it to the standard length. I haven't seen a specialized DMR length outer barrel, but it shouldn't be too hard to either jerry rig something, or adapt a barrel extension for another gun.

For the sake of team uniformity, I've got myself a set of multicam utilities. This should compliment it nicely as I've broken down my JLS one and not reassembled it back together again.  There are 2  Scars already from my team-mates consisting of a VFC and a CA. Gotta represent the Mpeg generation.....Mine all Mine...Moohhahhhahahaaa!!!!

I really want a legit 20' barrel.  SRC sells a version of their 416 with one.
