« on: May 04, 2008, 08:23:27 AM »

Iam so close to ordering one.. .       ;D

Has anyone break one or has one fallen apart on them???
I know the interals are made of plastic.

Everything I see online says thier worth the money and pretty good shotgun..

Mine hasn't broken yet, although I baby every airsoft gun I own with regular cleanings and what not. Even without all the cleaning I do to my airsoft guns, I feel confident the M3 would be reliable. The only downsides I have about the UTG M3 are the "shotgun elbow" one has for the first few weeks after purchasing it, and also the lack of hop-up in the bottom two barrels. If you're playing among springers or in a CQB situation, then the UTG M3 will be an effective primary, or perhaps secondary.

I dropped my pistol grip one about 4 feet onto concrete. Resulted in a slight crack in the outer barrel, but other than that, still shoots perftctly. And I've put a ton of ammo through it, lol.

um i think they have a hop up in all 3 barrels. i had a marui one and the UTG is a clone of it and it didnt. when i had the marui one i put thousands of bbs through it and it was fine.

Why?  Just curious because I have the TM shorty version and I need to replace it and I am undecided.  The shotgun would not be my primary rather it would be my backup.

Airsoft Atlanta has the M3 for $10 less then every one else right now if you have yet to order it. On the website it list 69.99 but in the cart it's only 59.99.

I've managed to break mine already, but I did something rather stupid with it. I used 6mm paintballs in it... Yes, stupid, but I presumed "Oh, spring gun... It should be ok!". Top barrel is jammed and full of paint, and I'm afraid of sticking a cloth down there as it might shover the goo into the chamber. I'll proabaly need to disasembe the entire thing and pull the barrles to clean them and remove any other junk leftover.

Mine is still working fine, although I haven't used it much.  Booligan, I'm ready to get that stock, btw.

I have one of these coming to me on Thursday. I would like to mention that one of the reasons for a combat shotgun is that multiple pellets are less likely to be deflected by a hard or soft object. I think a real shotgun has a pattern smaller than 20 inches at 30 yards (I shoot clays a lot turning the summer), so the spread is just right if you think about it like that.

I have a hi-cap coming along with a pack of shells to mess around with. I'll post back if I get it working.

Sounds cool. Although Hi-cap defeats the realism.

Really? Seems like it would be right in line. It's a 190 round hi-cap so it's only about 60 shots, and with 130 round mid-caps for M-16s being common field items (and 300 rounders even more common).

I tried to make it a link but

Yours is spring, not automatic, not to mention notice the gun eject shells anyways.
The hi-cap for this guy is needed because auto-shotties go thru a mag like nothing. Your hand can only crank so fast.
But hey I just think shotgun..shotgun shell..hand in hand.  But what ever floats your boat you know.

Mine is double feeding (sextuple feeding I guess?) which kind of bugs me. Anyone have any clue what that could be?

My M3 broke the first day by using crappy .12 bbs in it and it jammed and the of the barrels broke and the third one shot 5 ft so I returned it. the new one is flawwless with .20s.

When I finally decided there was no chance that I was ever going to see even the slightest hint of hopup effect, I sprayed silicon lube down the barrels (something I never do on any other gun) for a thorough cleaning and lube. After, I ran a few shots through to clear excess before running a swab down the barrels on more time - and for about a magazine I got a number of shots with 5 or 6 bb's. Hasn't happened since. So mine, at least, will briefly feed excess bb's if there is excess lubrication in the back of the gun.

If hopup isn't an issue (or your gun, like mine, simply doesn't show any under any condition), keeping the barrels lubed all the way back to the buckings does help to keep the spread pattern consistent.

LOL it makes my day when I see ppl still deciding to stick .12 in their guns.
Make it a rule over 50 bucks is .20
To be honest .12 works really well with lpegs compared to .20 but thats bout it.

When the stock is taken off a fullstock it may be more breakable. Anyone know how to remove the stock?

EDIT: did anyone see the post right under mine that was there for like 2 minutes before deleated??

EDIT AGAIN: did anyone see pooperscooper's posts in this thread?

No pooperscooper on my screen.

How would the stock become more breakable?

I have a broken TM m3 shorty and I plan on getting the full stock UTG M3.  I want to be able to switch between the 2 stocks.  I have heard that the gun part can be interchanged, so I may go that route.  Can anyone confirm this about the stocks?

about the stock coming off, I heard somewhere that if you take the stock off of the m3 the main body cover can pop off for good. I just remember that from something and I dont know if its true. I dont even know how to take the stock off and I cant find out how.

You pull the rubber butt pad off and there is a long (like a foot long)screw that holds it on.... Just like most real shotguns.

You know you can only take parts off  because the gun consist of many parts. The stock and the pistol is literally one piece of plastic. You can break down 2 lego pieces but breaking down one lego piece... well you kinda have to saw it off...
