Update:
Turned out to be a simple loose motor wire!
All the doubts with the nice/revolutionary wiring/contacts is apparently without any merit...my trying to find fault there was my biggest mistake! The unique wiring/lack of wiring on this VFC SCAR lives up to the hype.
I removed the motor plate underneath the pistol grip to check the motor wiring and there it was...a loose wire lead to the motor, a basic rookie diagnostic that I overlooked!
She's back up to speed and is shooting fine again!
