I'm not sure if this is in the right section or if this has been posted before... but i did use the search tool so here goes...

I have this battery:

and it works great. after installing duribilty upgrades I want to put a 9.6 volt battery in my gun. So I figured that I could cut open my old battery, put this in;

http://www.batteryspace.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1202

and connect it with some kind of contacts. then put some shrink wrap on and... an amazing 9.6v battery!

So what's wrong with my plan? Anyone done this before? Tips? Thanks.

Technically you can do that - just make sure you connect the cells right and shrink wrap it good.
