Not to mention only about 750 of the real IBHs were made. You see them once in a while but they're pretty rare. Navy SEALs and PJs got ahold of most of them. -Luis

Indeed. The stock chin strap system is also more secure than the stock MICH chin straps. However I've heard that supposedly the airsoft IBHs run a tad big. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks, -Luis

And unfortunately the IBH didn't perform very well (didn't hold up well to the ballistic threats in tests that it was supposed to) which is why they dumped them.

Let us keep comments in this thread DIRECTLY RELATED TO SPECIFIC PICTURES IN THE LOADOUT THREAD.
Going off on a tangent will only cause this thread to be overloaded with extraneous comments which will detract from the specifics relating to the picture thread. - RLB

hi. MAR-CIRAS in MJ Khaki = Part of issued MLCS kit = 100% ok for SEALS KIT Direct Action RRV- in MJ Khaki = Part of issued MLCS kit = 100% ok for SEALS KIT Reconnaissance Same goes for EOD (issued much the same kit from much the same warehouse) but you are more likely to see EOD troops armored to the gills in CIRAS and groin-pro because they work around things that god boom (TTGB) all the time. SEALS get issued a protec helmet in training, and whatever flavor of MICH is current when they get their combat gear. They can procure their own gear, so they can use any helmet they dern well please (so long as it meets standards like jump rated, flak rated... whatever the standards are...). IBH helmet is ok for SEALS impression, especially Devgru. Remember only 700 or so of the helmet was made.. back in like 98. You need to be special to have one still, even special for a SEAL. Especially considering the IBH doesn't have anything a MICH doesn't have and the MICH you get issued would be newer and nicer than a 10 year old IBH. So, if you want to look like a SEAL, you need to get a helmet you've seen in a pic of a seal. If its too creative, its a bad impression. MICH 2000, MICH 2002.. have a look around the mattaxleson gallery and you will see more MICHs of different variety than any bizarre or unique helmets like IBH. Lastly, when people nitpick your impression you all have to remember that all they are doing is nitpicking your gear, the accuracy of your impression or what have you. They are not attacking your identity, or your personality. If someone mentions places where they think your impression is lacking, but those places dont bother you a bit, dont pay em any mind. and call your gun a shooter, or a blaster or a CAR15 or a poodlescooter and no one can tell you you are wrong.

I think its cool! I like the innovation and that it is not the same old sterotyped uber leet ghille. If it works it works.

thanks guys. Yeah it definitely wasn't the greatest but it was dirt cheap! Sorry to say that I'm not much of a sniper anymore...I don't have enough patience. to cptpackrat: I just have a stock TSD L96. I bought it to see if I liked sniping...I would upgrade it if I did...but then I moved on to AEGs. I still have it as a backup gun though. to dirtydawg: Wherever I can! The pictured place actually wasn't a favorite among the other guys...it was too small and narrow with no cover. We do a lot of games in a semi-urban environment, but I just found a place similar to the pictured one, except larger and far more wooded. Occasionally we also play in a large forest.
Thanks again for the compliments guys. I'll try to post my AEG loadout sooner or later.

Thanks roob.
Admittedly, I overreacted a bit, just wanted to cut the niticking off, and show that I knew what I was lacking.

Thanks Luis. I've never really been off the forums I just don't post as much as I used to. I still want to I just usually can't find much productive to say . About the ITS rig; it's probably never ever ever going to be replaced. It's so perfect for my style of play. First vest I ever bought and I picked a winner, been rockin it for 2 years now. I'm gonna try and get some game pics of me tomorrow, and hopefully if I get lucky a video of an ambush by my brother and me(you will laugh really hard, our ambushes are disgusting).

Looking forward to those ambushes. But I kind of regret selling my ITS rig back then. I liked it so much too, it carried everything and didn't slow me down. I'm glad it's working out good for you. -Luis
