I'm looking to build a grenadier loadout both for an underslung M203 and when I have my M203 on the standalone platform. So far i've looked at a TT MAV with bib, an RRV (Most likely either the CONDOR RRV or the EBB RRV with HAWG), the CONDOR MOD chest rig (Like the RRV but the one with built-in mag pouches and hydro pouch.), and the Tac-vest-like hydration vest. I decided on a vest like the RRV instead of an MBSS or so because it wraps around my sides and I can put pouches on there giving it more real-estate while not being cumbersome really. I'd like to stay away from CIRAS's and such still though, and they are a bit too bulky for what im looking for.
EDIT: Also the problem i'm having with the MAV and CONDOR RRV is what can I do about a back panel? I'd rather not try to combine backpack and vest together in a way that will hold, but the only RRV back panel I found was the PanTAC one and its upwards of $60. Is there a way to attach backpacks to the RRV straps easily?
I'm hoping to find a vest thats low-pro, can carry everything I want, AND has room leftover for more 40mm (up to 6 more shells for a max of 12) or pistol mag pouches (Prolly 4 mags max). Any help is appreciated.
The pouches im looking at are
3 CONDOR double 40mm pouches or similar
2 triple M4 shingles (Only carrying 6 hicaps, dont need these if I get the the MOD chest rig)
a belt-mounted dump or one of the new Leg-mounted dumps
I've already got:
CONDOR hydro pouch with zipper pockets (Could still use for extra BBs, gas, and IFAK stuff.)
EMT pouch (For batteries, smoke grenades, easter egg pouches, and snacks.)
Gadget pouh (For radio setup.)
Now i'm not carrying a sidearm atm, if I do get one i'll put it on a dropleg or belt mounted, and it'll be something small like a G26. I'm hoping you guys can provide some insight into this stuff and better choices. I looked at the TT triple 40mm pouches but they are on the expensive side, if anyone can point me in the direction of some cheap TT 40mm pouches that'd be very helpful.
