NOTE: I'm not advertising anything, just simply sharing information I found on another forum.

I was browsing late last night and came across this:

Quote
Hello,

I would like to let everyone know that Strike Force Sports will be coming to Long Island NY. We will have a 15,400 sq ft dedicated place to play airsoft that is fully heated and air conditioned for the winter and summer climate. The actual playing field will be 11,000 sq ft and the floor will be AstroTurf not your typical concrete. The field will have CCTV's wired up to monitors in the staging areas, so players who are not playing or already out can watch the action on the field. Once the field opens up we plan on doing night games with simulated moonlight and smoke machines going on the playing field. Once we open will have two staging areas and one with vending machines for snacks and drinks. Also in one staging area we will have a PS3 hooked up to a TV that players will be allowed to use during the downtime.

We will also offer a membership plan. This plan will cost a yearly fee that will give you discounts on admission to play and discounts at the pro shop. On top of that members will be given a locker to store their personal belongings during game hours.

We will have a proshop in house carrying everything from affordable Echo 1's to higher end guns like Classic Army, KWA, and G&G, with rentals being available to new players. We are still a few months from opening out doors for play but wanted to get the word out about our store. We will be located on Commack Rd. in Deer Park, NY. The unique aspect about our place is that you will never play the exact same layout twice. The system we have allows us to change up the field every weekend so you aren't playing in the layout you always do. Another great thing about this field is that there are two mezzanine in either corner of the field to allow for snipers.

We want this to be place to help out the airsoft community on Long island with giving them a fun place to hang out and play some CQB.

Our website is currently under construction but you can check here for any updates as it progresses. http://strikeforcesports.net/

The field Rules:
- 350 FPS limit with .2's
- Under 18 requires full seal paintball mask
- Over 18 full seal goggles and a neck or face covering

Here are some proposed field layouts: For reference each house seen in the pictures will be ~15' X 20'

Sorry for the poor quality pictures but at the time when these pictures were taken we did not have an actual camera on hand.

This is pretty much a basic layout consisting of angled streets and staggered alleys.

This we call the "Plaza" since the circle shaped empty spaces will be filled in with fake trees and trash cans to give a different kind of cover.

This will pretty much be like a killhouse with how the buildings are snaked together with the large building in the middle.

The last layout we have come to call "The Gauntlet"

place looks sweet if it is as good as advertised. Any info as to hours of operation, or any info on when they plan on opening their doors to the public?

Quote
We will be open 6 days a week, Tues thru Sunday. Pro shop hours will be 10AM til close at 10PM during the week and 11PM or midnight during the weekends. We will be running night games every week, and they will be special.

This sounds like the ultimate spot to play airsoft during the cold months... Best of luck!

I really hope it works out and can't wait until it opens, this seems like a really awesome place to play.

Something I don't understand is, it's indoors, but they're trying to replicate the outdoors? (AstroTurf, fake buildings, trash cans, etc) IMO that's kind of cool, but am I interpreting it correctly?

appears that way. to simulate fighting in a town/village. a shame sonic grenades aren't going to be allowed. i want to know is can i use my claymore mines? you can do a very light pressured trip wire to guard a path way. hmm and grenade shells im wondering if their allowed.

Wow, that's exactly what I thought it would be, and that's awesome. I'm kind of glad sonic nades aren't aloud, I like my hearing, thank you Smiley
If frag nades are aloud, I don't see why claymores wouldn't be, which would be really cool

I am just totally assuming this, but since they don't allow sonic gernades, they might not allow "trip wire" as it may put others in the way of harm by malfunction... but it would seem logical to allow "laser wire" claymores...

Thank you Infect1d for posting up our original information regarding our field. Right now I would like to take this opportunity in to show everyone the progress we have made with the building of the field and also that we now have a fully stocked pro-shop up and running.

The houses we are building are made from a very high grade plastic that is light but also incredibly durable. Over that we put an anti-ricochet layer, then we cover all of this in the same nylon that zodiac life rafts are made out of. For added support have a brace system that locks all the houses together to they are very sturdy. This desgin we are using makes our field completely modular so we have the freedom to change up the field every month. This is not going to be a plywood jungle by any means.

Here are some pictures of the houses we have made so far for use in our facility. Please note that this is not the same warehouse our field will be in, this was just used for taking the pictures.

For updates please check out our website www.strikeforcesports.net, for questions feel free to call 631-242-1197 or by email at info@strikeforcesports.net

Exterior pictures:

Each house will have at least one full working door:

We have dsigned 5' x 8' box hedges to create and indoor plaza on the field:

DRK,

We are looking for late January or early February for the field, but the proshop is open now.  We should have some of our inventory up on the website soon.

The video shows that you guys are really putting thought into the theatrics of simulation which is huge. Good job so far, looking forward to seeing it in person. Some of my FilForce guys in Queens wanted to stop by the pro shop but no address was on the website? You might be missing out on some Christmas shopping. Will give you a call after Christmas.

I just wanted to let people know that hopefully by the end of next week we will be able to take people back into the warehouse for a brief tour and to get a feel for the space we have.

Also I would like to let people know that we are open today with standard store hours of 2-8pm.

UPDATE!

We got the official word form the town that we are now cleared to begin construction on the field. We hope to be opening the doors to the field for players in about 6-8 weeks.

We got a handful of new guns in this week, we received the new Classic Army LWRC electric blowback aeg in black and dark bronze, Classic Army SA58 aeg, and various marui pistols from their hi-capa's to beretta's.

NEW PRO-SHOP HOURS! Due to the huge daily pro-shop turnout, we will be opening two hours earlier during weekdays. New weekday hours are now 12pm - 8pm.

Regards,
