Most likely you will shred your piston sear, and the piston looks like it might be a 90 degree piston, while your stock piston sear is a 45 degree. So most likely yes even it you can get the sear to catch.

Good Luck,

Negative, Rawly.  The type 96 replicas all have a stock 90° piston and piston sear.

If I put this into my stock MB05, is it gonna break my trigger?

Chances are good that the piston lip is steel (the one in the upgrade kit). The piston sear of the stock trigger mech is a pot metal, probably zinc or something weak. Putting that whole upgrade kit into your stock L96 will probably destroy your trigger's piston sear.

On that note, I've never had anything but straight shots and action out of my stock L96 trigger. I remember that when I was really nervous about it's plastic construction someone told me that they actually re-did the construction and that any L96 replicas bought today are fairly strong and reliant. If you do break your trigger mech with this kit you could easily buy another replacement trigger box for about 13$ from renegadeairsoft.com

ok, thanks alot guys! I'm gonna look into it, but so far im really happy with the stock preformance of my gun. i wasn't expecting much from it and figured i would need to put alot into it to shoot anything consistently. i was wrong. I think once i get some more money I'll get this and an extra trigger box like you said.
     thanks again,

With the type 96 replicas the first thing you'll want to replace is the hop up unit and the inner barrel as well. The stock L96 hop up unit and hop up bucking are both pretty lousy.

The best aftermarket upgrade hop up unit and inner barrel are both by PDI, but they are pricey. Expect to pay at least $200USD if you go PDI

PDI Hop up unit:

A more cost effective alternative combo would be an edgi inner barrel and a hexagon products hop up unit.

HP Unit

The alternate combo will run about half the price of the PDI setup. The downside is that you will have lower quality materials and the HP hop up unit will not have the ability to tune left / right hop, so you might have to shim if there is curving.

you can also combine a pdi hopup chamber with an Edgi Barrel and get a good mix of affordability and Quality

Only thing PDI has over EDGI barrels is that they are stainless steel while ed's are HS brass

Ok, I need help again. My trigger box cracked and won't hold the bolt back anymore, so i need a new trigger. I'm not sure what even happened to it. Everthing on my MB05 is stock, and i only had about 1500 rounds through it. Anyway, what trigger do I need, and where can i find one? Thanks for any help! And I'm gonna look into a new hop-up unit like you guys said. Once my trigger is fixed... :-\
