ICS is proud to announce their newest generation of their MX5-P (MP5) replica's.  This is not a minor update to their existing models, this is a complete overhaul resulting in one of the most accurate replica's on the market.

The gun has a steel upper receiver with a locking bolt to allow for easy hopup adjustment.

The MP5 is now easier to take down than ever thanks to the addition of a split gearbox, a new feature for their MP5's.

Just remove two pins and you can split the major components of the gun apart.  You can upgrade the spring without touching the lower receiver.  Thanks to the integrated contact points on the receivers, there's not even any wiring to deal with.  Just pull the receivers apart and you are good to go.

The lower gearbox features a patented new electrical system with 3rd burst thanks to the inclusion of an integrated MOSFET.  Putting the gun on "Safe" also decompresses the spring to act as a double safety and help increase the life of the gun.

Coming Soon to local retailers!

Hmm, is this the first AEG that comes with a 3 round burst that isn't mechanical? Looks amazing, think I'll pick one up if the price isn't too much.

dude actually theres no difference in metal cuz i hav both guns and well you jus made a big mistake. if JG ak47s shoot at 400 fps while the ca one shoots at 330 how can the internals on the ca be better.

To the best of my knowledge, it's the first gun to include an electrical 3rd burst using a MOSFET.  Tokyo Marui Sig's and Star/Ares FNC's also have electrical burst functionality but the system is notoriously unreliable.

I'm trying to get the price from them right now.  As soon as I know, I'll update the post.

I've had an ICS mp5 for around 7 years and it's still going strong. This new one looks pretty sweet but is the split gearbox very reliable? I know that some m4's had the same split design but for some reason I get the feeling that it is more prone to problems.

I'm not sure where you get that feeling from.

Are there going to be other MP5 models released around the same time as the one depicted above?  I always prefer a full stock on most AEGs, and a lighted fore grip model would be nice to boot.

That was already in my list of questions to them.  The original prototype pictures I posted a while back showed a large battery foregrip whereas these obviously have a standard A series foregrip.  That's makes me hopeful at least.

Also, if I'm reading the document they sent me correctly, it appears the stock has a spring loaded mechanism to extend the stock when you push the lever.  That's what they seem to be saying anyways.

When will these actually be on store shelves? I assume that this announcement means that they are finally finished with the super lengthy re-design process and haved moved into production?

Production started some time ago.  Availability at US retailers depends primarily on the distributors.

Is there any way to wire this gun to the rear to allow the use of a fullstock large battery?

I'm suspecting not and that's why the initial prototype had the large battery grip.  That's just a guess though.

The former Miata owner side of me is snickering at their name...

That being said, it looks impressive, to say the least.

Good post Booligan. We're getting some in next week. Prices are the same as the old MP5.

I have the old version of the ICS MP5 and I am thinking about getting this version Grin If the price is close to the old price, I will definately get this.
