Way cheaper than the polarstar parts. Now the question is, are they worth the cheap price?

Great.....now the most powerful stock sniper gets an fps upgrade.
Can't wait to see all the newbies buy this just because they think fps is everything....

I fail to see how it increases accuracy... How about a sear set or bolt handle upgrade? I feel like those will be the first thing to go on mine...

^New piston could have better compression than stock meaning better accuracy.

My guess on the better accuracy UTG claims is the bolt is a better design that hits the BB more evenly for a smoother flight, similar to a PB bolt or simply that the higher fps means less effect from wind, leaves etc. We haven't tested one yet but will soon.

Doesn't it already shoot like 450-500 with .20 so whats this new spring do? 550 with .20 or even high? We are hitting field limits or going over certain field limits. A new piston and spring guide is acceptable though for the price

Id love UTG to make a Reinforced, metal trigger mechanism that is decent enough to handle aftermarket springs just as well as the zero trigger does....that would make my day. Course it would have to be half as expensive as a zero...

agreed^ i dont see why they make a new upgrade kit when they could be making a new trigger. im about to buy a zero trigger and it like what 190 if utg came out with a good trigger box i would buy it

^IIRC $160 shipped from WGC
all they have to do is make the dam thing out of pot metal and it would be much stronger then there cheap "pot" plastic.

It seems the trigger mech is the most favored upgrade for L96 users. Whoever does come out with a good one at a decent price is going to have a hell of a lot of customers. Im glad these upgrades came out sure, but i think there are more areas they ought to focus on (AKA TRIGGER MECH), which would appeal to a lot of users.
noobie's M trigger for the VSR/BAR10 was a huge hit for example.
either way though, i am curious as to how spectacular these upgrades are. They look decent, way better than what was seen from there M324 upgrade kit. I wonder if these parts will be a contender with the ones currently available.

I'm positive this is the exact same thing as the WELL L96 upgrade, that I recently bought for $19.99. I can tell you right now, the piston and spring guide are aluminum. The spring is only slightly more powerful. The pros about this upgrade are as follows:
1: Metal is almost always better than plastic. In this case it is, anyway. 2: Spring guide bearing set keeps spring from binding. 3: A small FPS upgrade
Nothing too special, but if it's cheap, why not?

^I guess you do have a point, a lil more for lil bit of a price, isn't a bad thing. Just, a worthy upgrade would be nice for such a price (dare to dream). I agree with the metal is better than plastic in this case for the most part. Especially when it comes to the spring guide.

surprisingly the spring guide isnt a big threat in a BASR as it is in ans aeg because they dont cycle as fast

^true, but what have you to say about high powered springs? Wouldn't the spring tension have bad effects on a plastic spring guide, minus fast cycling like on an AEG. Is anyone planning on getting this kit? I am somewhat curious. I always wanted a sniper rifle based only on budget parts. (IE airsoftgi, This UTG kit, etc.). I understand the costs for high end sniper rifle set ups are way up there (and way worth it i presume), but just to fiddle around with I think a budget upgraded rifle would be neat. I would love to have a budget upped BASR, the only high end parts i would put in it, would prbly be an EDGi tightbore and a good hop up setting.
Budget metal trigger mech....i wantttt

those webtex vests are worth it if you don't have a ghillie suit. It just takes longer to add the right amount of veggies.

EXACTLY what I was thinking!! I would kill for a cheap 550 fps rifle. It would be a plinker for sure, nothing to seriously use in a match. But yeah I'd pop a tightbore and, if I could, a spring in it and BAM! $170 550fps bolt rifle. It's definitely do-able. I am seriously tempted to buy it.

Ha i wouldnt even need it to be 550 that's pushing legal field limits. Id be comfortable with 480-500 fps would be sufficient. I am not expecting to shoot the 400 foot mark (i think it was 400?) like Cobra's Bar10 or anything haha.

^^Again, this is the same kit you can buy under the Well brand name at hitguns.com for 29.99. At the very least, compare the two.
