Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
« Reply #50 on: August 17, 2011, 01:47:49 PM »

In the E3 demo not shown in the video in this thread (the one where the mi24 is attacking the american apcs on wall-street), why does the Mi-24 need to hover 30 feet off the ground? Dramatic effect? so you can take it down with your m4 as the Mi24 fires lumbering slow missiles that seem never to hit anything?

Oh btw, i havent been here for a while. the makarov in my name is referring to the eastern-bloc pistol that shows up alot at red-allliance.

I was excited for this game until I saw battlefield 3, it shocked me that a developer didn't just copy paste the same code for all their games and they actually took care in designing it.

Its just like Modern Warfare 2 and black ops, I still want it for the single player but I sure as hell am not paying for it.

My thoughts exactly. I always end up enjoying the single player, but I'm definitely going to just borrow the game from someone I know who buys it, because im not gonna waste my money on it. BF3 will blow it out of the water just as much as BF2 and BC2 completely crush Black Ops and MW2 as far as the online multiplayer is concerned.

... I'm just curious what they're giving out in the prestigious edition. Modern Warfare 2 was pretty cool with NVG novelty. The RC car in black ops was kinda stupid...

Probably an RC car with a different coat of paint, to parallel the game.

It looks like they tried to take the good things from both MW2 and BLOPS. The result is a cheezy looking game that is going to have the same gameplay as MW2. I won't be buying it till i play it a few times to see if i like it. Battlefield 3 on the other hand is getting preordered, the beta looks amazing and i can't wait for that game.

The sad thing is, as disappointing as this game will be, I'm still gonna spend way too many hours of my life playing it...

^I'm still wasting away the hours playing MW2 lol. Drop a little time on Black Ops here and there, but almost always on zombies.

Black Ops was terrible.

I am a CoD fan, since CoD2. But MW3 and MW2 is THE SAME EXACT GAME.
It makes me angry that they take shotguns off as primaries and have the nerve to say "We know you guys hated that" and the crowd cheers...but then they keep quickscoping in...and matter of fact, MAKE IT EASIER TO QUICKSCOPE. Why? Why I ask. Why do they feel the need to keep that in the game, and why do so many people think it's cool?

Wouldn't it be funny if he slipped the disk into his 360 and it was Black Ops!

Played an early release copy that my friend got today.

MW3 is, without an deviation or difference, EXACTLY the same as Black Ops, MW2, World at War, and MW1.  Take it from me kids, dont go waste your money on this

So far on 360 it is pretty fun.  The strike packages and the fact that your kill streaks are tied to your load-outs is real nice.  The actual firefights are very frantic, and I'm just trying to learn the maps.

Leveling is REALLY fast.  I've played for an hour and a half and am 15 out of 80 already.  Leveling almost one a game still.  I'm sure it will slow down a little, but much faster than MW2.  I'm assuming I will see prestiges playing tonight.

Very fine tuned and the elite stuff is pretty cool.

Graphics look like crap compared to BF3.

Golden guns aren't new. They've been doing that for 3 of the last 4 games.

Agreed. Aaaaaand I hate that watching that video just makes it seem like its MW2 with some new maps, and according to the commentator, the gold is more of a gold color and not yellow. Woooooow
