How To: Rewiring your gearbox
Author: Yellowleader

Introduction:
Hey, so you want to rewire your wires from the stock of your rifle, to the fore grip, or just to the general forward assembly. Well don't fear it is a lot more simple then you might think. I found an old gearbox and set of wires to demonstrate how to rewire it. This is easy, but if your wiring doesn't extend like mine does (mine are classic army), then just buy a whole new forward assembly set. A lot less of a hassle
Step 1. Open up the gear box and take EVERYTHING out except for you electrical system. Clean the gearbox because it is always a good idea to clean it anyways. You always wanna keep a tidy house.
Step 2. You will notice once opened, that you will see the standard rear assembly for you wires. 2 red wires running around, 1 going to the motor, and 1 going under the motor hole and around to the battery. Well, there is a simple fix and rearrangement that will allow you to wire it to the front of the gearbox. Also I want you to notice, that the black wire is exceedingly longer then the red wire. Do you see that? this will come in handy and allow you to do this change with ease.

Step 3. The first thing you need to do, is take the red wire that runs from the trigger electrical housing, to the motor. This wire will have a straight path and runs out the bottom to the motor area. Just move it out of the way. Once out of the way you will notice there is another wire below it. That is the wire that runs to the battery.

Step 4. Now going back to the humongous black wire. If you see below there is a lot of wire left past the connector. What I want you to do, is to adjust the black wire, by pulling it through the shrink wrap until the 2 battery connectors are aligned and you have an excess of wire in the opposite direction

Step 5. Now, pull the remaining wires (black and red running to battery) and pull them out of there little housing. Note where the red wire is connected around the trigger. Move the wires back towards this area of your gearbox

Step 6. now that you have pulled it back, you will notice there is a small notch near the trigger assembly, in the front of the gearbox. Make sure you keep that wire that runs directly to the motor out of the way still. Unscrew the screw holding the trigger assembly in place just a TINY bit, so that it is easier to push the wire under the assembly. Now push the wire under the assembly into the notch in the front gearbox.

Step 7. It will then look like the image above. Now what you need to do is do the same thing with the black wire as you just did with the red. Nudge it into the notch. Once in the notch, tighten that screw you unscrewed a TINY bit. Make sure the red motor wire is still out of the way

Step 8. move the red motor wire, back out of the way (easiest is to move it to point out the bottom like in the picture) Now place the black wire into the cove in which the red battery wire used to use, run it under the motor hole, and to the left out the bottom hole for the black motor wire.

Step 9. Now take that red motor wire you have kept out of the way, and place that over the black wire and run it out how it was before. Out the bottom hole towards the motor area. Now you will notice instead of having 2 reds on top of each other, there is the black and red on top of each other.

Step 10. VIOLA! you are done. Now place everything back in the gearbox, close it all up, and you are good to go. Here are some final pictures
